Definitely. Swansea fans will want to make Allen nervous every time his on the ball. Not too sure about Rodgers.

Moreso than Downing, I was hoping to see Gerrard not on the pitch for this given his recent performances.
If he can keep it tidy (and he has shown the ability to do so) then no problem, but against a side like Swansea that thrive on possession we can't afford to be giving the ball away as much as he has been doing.

I really like this. Very solid, lots of hard workers in there and with Gerrard I hope the higher of the three, going forward we have lots of potential.
Also Assaidi to come on for Downing (enrique) and Joe cole for Sterling later on. Suso for Gerrard.

Played there before and Enrique has been best for us this year in an advanced role. Not that I expect that is how we will set up but it is a possibility.

Downing won't play as LB. He'll play on the right, ahead of Johnson, and Sterling will play left, ahead of Enrique. That's how we'll start at least. Rodgers likes to change things if they aren't working, so who knows how we'll be playing after 30 mins

I look at that midfield and seriously worry. Cannot see us controlling a game with it. Gerrard really needs to up his game as he has been a liability at times

I still think Enrique will play LB just Downing is very good at tracking back and isn't bad defensively really so him being there allows Enrique to fly forward a lot.

Can't wait for this think it'll be 0-2 Suarez with both.

What midfield would you have gone for then mate? Think that's the best midfield we could select in terms of controlling the game with the personnel we have available at the moment.

I don't reckon so. I just think he really seems to be struggling with his fitness. You can see when he plays after 60 mins how much he tires. The conditioning/fitness team must feel he is not at the level yet he needs to be for 2 games a week. I'm sure there working with him behind the scenes.

Smart to play Henderson, he knows he needs to either win the midfield battle or make it really difficult for them to just pass us off the park. We would be shite if Shelvey or Sahin were in there and more than likely would be overran in midfield. If Downing is at LB or LW the big issue we're going to run into is the left side being too one dimensional. Both of them want to generally stay wide, but with Enrique cutting in last week to set up Suarez maybe it's something Rodgers has tried to make them work on.
