Surprised that Murphy/Boyd Holbrook isn't back. Thought they'd want to keep as much of the main cast around having already lost Pablo. I did prefer Pena to Murphy anyway, but still a surprise. Really looking forward to seeing how the third season is now with all of the changes, sure it will still be one of the best shows around. Feel like giving the first 2 a rewatch before it comes out

What a fantastic season. Just as good if not better than the first 2.

Don't click unless you've watched it all

Spoiler
Some incredible performances this season, particularly that of Salcedo. You totally buy that guys pain all season long. I also thought the Cali heads were quite likeable. Escobar was great to watch, but I didn't find it possible to like him after some of the things he did. Gilberto and Pacho seemed to have some code, at least. Miguel started out that way but the power and paranoia got to him. Chepe was evil but like Pablo, highly entertaining, I would have liked some more scenes of him in New York.

I just read an interview with the show runner who says that he thinks Pena's story is now told and it may well be a whole new cast for Season 4 (http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/live-feed/narcos-season-3-finale-will-pedro-pascal-return-season-4-1033708). Pedro Pascal has been brilliant in this show but I suppose it makes sense for the character to have washed his hands with it all now.

Also, so satisfying seeing David take those bullets in the finale!

Best season so far for me.More grown up

I loved the first 2 seasons and i thought Wagner Moura was good, but i did have one tiny gripe in that he played Pablo Escobar like someones Grandad after having too much turkey and spuds on christmas day and just wanted to stick on his elasticated waist Farah pants and watch only fools and horses re-runs

Agreed, excellent also! Although I wished they had used the same actor for Escobar. My little brain struggled with the different moustache.

Production values high, had a good character inside the cartel to root for, had its action element and some nail biting moments and the bingeability ( couldn't stop watching the last episodes so went to bed at 5 a.m. ). Good climax in the last couple of episodes and was looking forward to how events panned out.

Don't know if the real events that had to follow one way or the other restrained them in some way but feel they took lots of liberties with characters and instances.

PS: One piece of boring, overused and tripe levels of propaganda could have been avoided but hey ho.
