Five and a half year deal? Torres will be at a second tier Spanish club or retired by then. I think he's in physical decline and possibly psychologically too. I don't think he really, positively wanted to leave us. I think he's having something of a 'crisis' and has opted for the possibility of quick glory and quick money.

I do feel some sympathy, to be honest. Our club's issues over recent years have damaged a talented but fragile footballer.
