Started this last night. I am sure I posted my first pick in this thread but something clearly went wrong.

Anyway first bet was...

1 - (MLB) Philadelphia to beat Atlanta last night £10 returns £17.69
2 - IN PLAY John Higgins to win frame 5 against M.Davis - £17.69 returns £26.54

Is this challenge a case of you stick on your whole running total on a single bet? or can you stake say 20% or 30% and attempt to get to 1k however possible??

Reccon you can do as you like mate, but the whole idea was originally everyone agrees on a bet that doubles you - and you keep staking your winnings, but if you get to 500 quid i'm sure no one would begrudge you keeping your winnings.

The idea of a forum bet everyone agreed on was a good one, then got fucked off which was abit shit.

I reckon we should try and get that forum thing going again. It started off well but kind of tailed off as people started doing their own thing.

Looks like I will be starting again.

Team I backed went 2-0 up after about 30 minutes... 2-2 at HT... 3-2 down after 5 minutes into 2nd half. Annoying.

EDIT: 2-0 up they were... lost 7-2 hahaha

What's the forum thing? I don't fully understand.

On another forum I was on a while ago we all put money into a kitty and then agreed on bets and tried to build it up by having a bigger bank to start with.

Is it something like that? or I am way off?

Similar, but you keep the money in your own account.

Someone suggests a bet, researchs it et al - shares in the thread, then everyone else decides if its good value, likely to come in, etc.

When everyone agrees, everyone makes the bet, if people are against it, its swerved - what basically happened was people took over the thread with their own bets/scheme and wasn't suggesting/asking for opinion, which is fair enough - but kind of made the whole thread pointless.

Independiente are 2.1 on betfair. Any reason youre picking these games or is it betting for the sake of it?

San Martin are 4.34

i think the real value in that game is betting on either under 0.5 goals (13/2) or under 1.5 (15/8)

In the first 4 games involving both teams there has only been 10 goals. 8 matches 10 goals.

San Martin goals for 4. Against 3
Independiente goals for 1. Against 2.

Doesnt matter at all, but if im putting £70 on something its not because the odds are low so they must win.

What can I say, I just love a risk!

Anyway for my next one I'm thinking of Backing leverkusen against Augsburg - checked the form and Ausburg have lost every match so far this season and are pretty low in the table, price is 1.72, any opinions?
