Membership Cards / Fan Cards
« on: January 5, 2010, 10:33:08 am »
Just a reminder to everyone that we view the swapping of membership cards / fancards / card numbers as effectively a ticket trade and as such asking or offering cards or card details outside exchange threads will get the standard two week ban.

The reason for this is that the exchanges are intended to help people who occasionally get left with tickets, they are not meant to enable people to build up false loyalty from games that they have no intention of attending.

UPDATE AND REMINDER

Membership/Fan Card sales or season long loans

Please refrain from attempting to sell on via RAWK. The exchange and use of cards for an upcoming match is as per ticket exchange rules. The attempted selling of a membership fan card with matches already on there or promised to be added is a minefield we cannot entertain

If found attempting to do this you risk a ban :wave

Good lads.  Welcome back and apologies for the ban.  I always feel bad for handing out ticket exchange rule bans - but we do need them to stop the site becoming a free for all.

Appologies I thought it only applied to swapping tickets outside offical exchange threads... on reading your argument against this on building "false loyalty" I accept that I am at fault.

Does anybody know how you are notified when membership is due for renewal. Bought my daughters last year but can't remember the date so not sure if it is done on a seasonal basis or one year from purchase.

You get a letter and email - I got mine but the sites down at the minute and I need to renew it sooner rather than later

22. If your Members Card is lost, the Membership Office must be notified at once. There will be a charge of £10.00 for the replacement card. Only one replacement card will be issued per member per season In the event that your Members Card is stolen, the member should report this to the Membership Office immediately and the relevant crime number should be quoted in all correspondence with the Club.

I'd imagine you'd need some sort of I.D. to claim it back too.

If I was him I'd ring the ticket office and say he never recieved it. They'll either give him another fan card or print paper ticket or probably both.

when he moved to america, his membership was registered at his old address .so if they  did send out a new members card it would go there.im sure he said he still had his old fancard.do you reckon they would print off a ticket on showing of the fan card?

No Paper receipt needed for this seasons home games, entry is now only by swiping your fancard, stewards will have hand-held terminals inside the ground if you want a print-out with your seat number.

Can imagine loads of people forgetting to take their seat details with them and having to get a print-out. ;D

Will we actually get anything in the post to confirm it then? Or just have to make a note of it from our purchase history/over the phone when buying?

Can you tell us about some more changes that are being made as a result of the survey?

One of the issues that came up through the anecdotal section was the need to bring with you your paper receipt for your ticket if you are a member. This causes no end of problems for different supporters as they don't always arrive; they don't always arrive on time; they get lost in the post; and people do forget them.

This season, we will be completely removing the need to bring those paper receipts and will be moving to full Fancard entry. The reason for paper receipts was that, unlike Season Ticket holders, you don't have a seat number on your card.

However, we've now introduced staff who are on hand to help and who have hand-held terminals that swipe your card and will tell you where your seat is whilst printing off a seat number for you. This is much, much quicker and faster.

Exactly. Btw, love that URL above - 'We don't take fans for granted.' ::)

People will still need to remember which gate they're meant to go in or there could be massive build-up at the turnstiles if people keep being turned away.

Sorry if it's a stupid questione but customer service hadn't answered me yet.

How could I change my fancard/mebership address?

and

Am I supposed to receive all the gift stuff every membership renewal?

My card should expire this Friday so I need an answer to be sure I'll be able to purchase tickets for Blackpool match

Why would you want to change your fancard number?

They are only sending out wallets this year.

all the other europa league games so far have all gone on general sale  so you may have to wait till last (after season ticket, members and fancard holders have had their pick of the tickets) but they should go on general sale about a week before the game

So you get priority to buy tickets for european ties if you have a fancard?

You'll get the chance to buy them before they go on general sale. I doubt it will make any difference though.

Rang the club today asking about tickets for the Napoli home game. According to this link they should be on general sale:

http://www.liverpoolfc.tv/tickets/latest-ticket-news/liverpool-v-ssc-napoli-2010-11-4-20-05-00/news

But the girl on the phone told me that I'd need a Fancard or membership to buy the tickets. Is it true that if I joined the membership scheme I could only buy 1 ticket? I'm looking to go and bring my brother and two nephews along but there's no way I'm paying for membership for all 4 of us.

can someone refresh my memory. after the 'incident' regarding the napoli home game, am i correct in thinking that general sale tickets were not available during the final week or so?  usually, STH/members/fancards/online get the first pick a month before the game..two weeks later a general sale and cred card bookings takes place... how come it's suggested napoli supporters were buying membership to purchase general sale tickets? that doesn't make sense.

i think the balls up just came from napoli buying general home tickets and it became a concern - if it was a balls up as such.

so, if a member/fancard holder buys a ticket from the ticket office, and no longer wishes to go to the game and sells it on as a spare, whoever buys it maybe asked to produce the members card/fancard on entry.. is this correct? does this apply to away games as well?

what is the situation if a season ticket holder purchases a ticket or two and has one spare? say for an away or a home cup tie.  i have read stewards have been making random checks now and then.. is it the case of all steards or some?

if a members card gets swiped on entry, how is it possible for a supporter to gain entry without a card but in receipt of a ticket?  so if joebloggs has a ticket and genuinly cannot go because of say work commitment or is ill and rather see a ticket go to waste, either sells it or gives it to his or her mate
can i have my old name back please?

I've got an All Red membership, and although I'd purchased a lot of tickets through that on .tv, I've also got a fair few through my Supporters Club. Is there any way I can register the tickets I've bought through the supporters club on to my membership?

It's probably massively unlikely as people could claim they've been to games when they obviously haven't. Just thought it was worth an ask :wave

they could put them on if they wanted to?? always a way when there's a will.  just send in all the stubs with the card>> then again, they may have got the stubs from a mate.. or it could be annoying if they send them in and LFC rip them up cos supporters like to keep their stubs as a momento.

am i right in thinking season 2008-9 counts for nothing on the fan card?  come next season, the 2009-10 counts for nothing.
someone might have gone to 18 aways in 2008, 18 in 2009, and 6 in 2010 because of lack of cash, work commitments etc..

Didn't want to start a new thread so may as well post in here (If in wrong place mods, please re-direct me)

I got my LFC membership last year, it has since expired. Unfortunately I have lost my card and also have forgotten my membership number. Is there any way of me being able to find out what my membership number is? Many thanks guys.

This must've been asked before but I can't find an answer.
If I buy a ticket online logging in as myself but on a linked fancard, do the tickets go to my address?
