E.Europe - racist chants?
« on: September 8, 2003, 02:56:02 pm »
Seeing as England have experienced racist chants while playing in Eastern Europe. Does any one expect Liverpool's black players to receive similar treatment while in Slovenia? I hope we do not hear such stuff while out there and we can have a good rapport with the home fans. Makes me very sad to hear such things.

I guess all that we can do is sing the black players' names even louder if that sort of shit gos on.  It makes me fucking cringe though even thinking about it.

I think it's their mentality and lack of coloured people within their countries which make it more prevalent then it should ever be,

racist chanting is always to be condemned but anticipating such chanting is a bit disrecpectful to our hosts though I'm sure it's not intended that way.

What would concern me would be any lack of UEFA action against Real Madrid's fans who were appaling last week.

Why not?

What other reasons are there for the abuse.

I didn't mean Slovenia but why do some countries fans do it including ours.

Well i do tink less of a racial mix in a country means that there will be more racism towards the minorities regardless of which country it is.

Only have to look at your own job to see that there is still a large racist element in our country.

98% of people in Slovenija are Slovene. And 98% of Slovenes live in Slovenija.

Best player on the pitch last night was a Bosnian though  ;) Jusufbegovic played a blinder.
