I'm surprised it wasn't mentioned that Forest Green played Everton u-21s the other day, the big Dunc friendship Cup or something I'd imagine, naturally the Shite lost 1 nil.

Their preseason is as shite and dysfunctional as the rest of the club. They had two friendlies, Wigan and Tranmere, on the same day, splitting their already threadbare squad in two, a first team game and an u21 game. Dyche went to the u21 game, didn't manage just watched, and missed the senior team get a rare win.

Tbf to Dyche, he knows the state of the first team so I don't blame him for combing through the u21s to see if there's anybody he can use, or at least sell.

They're facing the new season with an even weaker team than this time last year. And they could still lose players like Pickford last minute and not have the time or money to replace them.

NBC had a little vignette on Liverpool for their Open coverage.

Talked about the ship building, then the industrial revolution, to the music and The Beatles, to sport and showed LFC in action, and back to the Open Championship.

Not one shot of the Blue team across the park.  :lmao

As you know, its going worldwide, no-one outside the UK knows Everton is in Liverpool, so it's pointless mentioning them, it would just confuse the viewers ;D

This is true you know, I was born in Liverpool and my family moved to Australia when I was 6 weeks old ... due to my birthplace I was always a nominal LFC fan but as a kid I was only interested in Aussie Rules, and my team was Carlton, the Navy Blues. It wasn't until I went to live in England at age 23 and befriended an Everton fan at work that I learned there was blue team from Liverpool ... well thank my lucky stars I didn't know that as a kid, because I surely would have chosen them!

Called them a big club, yet they weren't big enough to get him last time.

Danjuma is 26 and has only scored 19 top flight league goals in his career, and his only two decent seasons are the one he had at Villarreal in 2021/22 and one with Bournemouth in the Championship. A lot of noise over an average player. Ashley fucking Young too.

I'm hoping we can get a couple more midfielders in because the way these are going it's looking like we'll lose the transfer window again, at least on Merseyside.

Will never forget watching this in the pub. The Bitter sitting behind us had been shouting bollocks like, "Cnut!" and "Break his legs!" all match (it's banter, innit?). Whole pub erupted when Origi scored and I turned round to see this Bitter bastard somehow collapsing in on himself, like he was getting sucked down a drain.

He got up a few moments later and went into the toilet. Presumably to lock himself in a cubicle and have a little cry.
