Might just stay in the hotel. Best I’ve ever stayed in anywhere.
But gutted the fireworks are tonight we’re going to miss.

Flamengo in the hyatt hotel if anyone else staying there

Hopefully it's a bit somber come Saturday
It'd be a shame if they couldn't sleep on Fri night ;)

Haha wouldn’t it!

To be fair their main man Barbosa (spelling?!) stopped for a few pics and autographs in the reception

Sure they’ll look less relaxed tomorrow after seeing us

Anyone else not got all their tickets in the FIFA account yet. I have the semi, nothing in there for the final.

Got my semi final and final tickets purchased through the club from FIFA this morning absolute ball ache because I had previously registered with FIFA I had to get the Ticket office to reissue them to an alternative email then re register with FIFA anyway I have them now thankfully.

Anyone coming Saturday

Leave loads to get in. Took me 75 mins

No power banks. Dont exceed flag size without getting permission. You have to store it and collect after

Queuing to get in. Groups of men no worries. Women and children separate search areas and queue takes forever

And good luck finding your seat! What a numbering system

Is anyone else flying back on the 3:10am flight from Doha > Istanbul? I'm on that one, so was wondering what others are doing to get to the airport - will the metro be running that late, or will I need to grab a taxi? And does anyone know if I'd need cash for a taxi (unless I use something like Uber, of course), or do they take credit cards?

Metro shuts at 1am, chatting to some local lads at the fan park and they said it’s best to get an Uber to the airport as taxis are expensive.

Was in the fan zone last night although the rain didn't help but it seems well organised and earlier in the day went to Souq Waqif which was full of Flamengo fans and is only a few stops from Sports City metro which is the one for the Khalifa stadium

Been to both of those today. Thought Jamie Webster was cracking as was the food at Souq Waqif.

Can vouch for that what a friggin nightmare getting in thought I was gonna miss the start took well over an hour! Had an aisle seat and fans still trying to climb stairs to find seats 35 mins into the game! They've got 3 years to sort this mess out but my worry is Sat so I would get in early and just watch the play off game

Collecting stuff after the match was a shocker too

They had just whacked it all on a shelf in any old fashion

Saturday not bothering with playoff- will just pick our queue better!

I noticed some queues to get threw the search bit were chokka and some not , hopefully a lot more will be in earlier due to there being two games in one day . The importance of this to Flamengo is unbelievable there everywhere you go , was in a little cafe last night by our hotel with about ten of them . All done 14 hour non stop flights to get here and going on about 1981 and how it’s 38 years since they last won it , one was astounded that we’d never won the league in 30 years

Yep. With Mrs Duds and age wasnt allowed in the general spectator queue so had to queue in the family one. They charged that I think after a while but ladies still had to go through security in a different spot

I was at their SF on Tuesday and they created a great atmosphere and there are certainly plenty of them! Loads of Reds fans there last night but no singing hope it's better on Sat

How was our end where people got tickets from the club? Grouped together?
I got mine from FIFA and it was the Mo Salah appreciation society end.

That's what I was thinking as Flamengo fans were all grouped together on Tues and they never stopped the whole night but I'm sure there are plenty more Reds fans on their way

Most of the lads are staying in West Bay/City hotels so would imagine it's some of the hotel bars and where is the best Happy Hour deals? Best I've heard is 6.50 a pint which is not great so anyone got better prices elsewhere?

Uber's take credit cards and are your best bet. I have a 4 AM flight myself and I don't think it'll be a problem.

Lot of Flamengo fans in my hotel - only seen 2 other LFC fans!

Flamengo fans were only grouped together as they all realised about 20 minutes in that the stadium was half empty and you can walk round the entire stadium and join others. From being virtually empty my end was packed with them. Won't be able to do that Saturday, but they'll make noise regardless, as they only have one song - about beating us in 81!!

I'm in the Intercontinental and it's rammed full with noisy Flamengo fans, quite a few reds but well outnumbered.

Good natured so far, hope that continues!

My favourite thing about this trip is seeing lads who usually just stay wherever is cheap for Euro aways (or kip in the airport) staying in five star hotels and dining at fancy restaurants. Plenty getting in a bit of culture too which is important.

I'm glad everyone had a good time. In truth I was expecting it to be more of a shitshow. Safe travels back.

What a trip this was!! Was skeptical of this one, but ended up being up there with very best.  Like everyone else, wasn't that arsed with it week or 2 before, but seeing Flamengo fans giving it to us big time in Intercontinental, waving there arms 3:0, singing about 1981, they really really wanted it.. that made me want it so much more.

Flamengo fans mostly were a really nice bunch tho, couple of di*kheads per usual, but everyone gets them, dont they.  Glad we got our revenge  :lickin

on to the next one :scarf

Thought the organisation of getting on the Metro afterwards was pretty good, letting so many down at a time, and then staggering people going on the platform and trains so we were safe but it wasn't too slow.

On the way there, we just got in the first door of the Metro as it was about to leave. Shocked at how posh the train was, big individual seats with arm rests, mirrored walls.... then we realised we were in the Gold Club section!! :D But none of the locals (families mainly who clearly had money) said anything. We walked straight into security as we left the train at Sports City but luckily he didn't say anything either. It wasn't on purpose but was a tube ride to remember!

Can only say positive things about Doha, the locals were friendly, helpful and hospitable. Never at any time did I fear for my safety or having something stolen from me. Cabs were cheap, the Metro was excellent and their were plenty of things to see & do.
