By the words of the law, it wasn't a goal. It just wasn't.
And that's okay.
Don't get me wrong, I was angry, frustrated, raging and all that when it happened and at the end of the match.
But having returned from a long, long walk, I've calmed.
I thought for the last 30 minutes we were exceptional, honestly if we'd played like that all match we would have walked over them. Is it frustrating that we didn't? That we couldn't take a second trophy? Sure.
But those of you calling for Kenny's head can fuck right off. We got to two finals in HIS FIRST FULL SEASON. Sure our league position has dropped yet again, but the man is a club legend, the man himself is a legend and he's already handling pressure from the press, the last thing he needs is it coming from the clubs fans too.
I'm not saying he's beyond criticism, obviously he's not, and not starting Carroll turned out to be a poor choice. However, I'll repeat. FIRST FULL SEASON. He at the very least deserves another one to try and stamp his mark.
Personally, I'll be behind him all the way, and eventually the glory days will return to Anfield.
It'll happen eventually. We're Liverpool. We don't have plastic flags or plastic players or plastic fans. We're fucking Liverpool, and we'll get back to the top.
