Visa has arrived, can't wait. One question though for people who may have been before...
As you can probably guess my name is Mark, which is easy enough for the Russian's to sort out because only one letter is different in Cyrillic, and that r is a very clear translation to P. However the fun on my visa starts when they look at my middle name, Phillip. To make it sound right, they (I presume the agency) have spelt it ФИЛЛИП which is quite correct phonetically. The problem is they have then sent this off to the embassy who issued the visa and translated it back as Fillip on the bottom of the computer read section (the one with loads of <<<) which again is quite correct. This problem also arises in my surname too as I have a ph there as well. Anybody else encountered this type of translation-translation error whilst visiting Russia before?
