Put out best midfield -> put out best front three -> play quicker, and more incisive than we have in over a month -> win game.

Special mention to Wijnaldum and Henderson who were both excellent today, as were Mane and Firmino further up the pitch.

Now we just need to do it against the smaller teams, but my word, that was long overdue and feels so sweet!

What a performance!!  Superb

Glad the ref wasn't a factor today, he gave us fuck all, the fucking twat!!

It must be great knowing that you can foul as much as you like without getting booked, in regards to Alli!!

Much needed, great performance. Put in one of the best halves of football we've played this season in that first half and then managed the game in a way we've been missing this season.

When things go badly for Spurs they do become absolute c*nts though. They can fuck right off we'll still finish above them.

Much better, it helps that they decided not to line up with 6 at the back, obviously, but we were so good in that first half it may not have mattered.  I noticed a couple of things, a few hoofs upfield to give them the ball, bring them out and then try to press them. I've not seen us do that in the last few weeks. I suppose it's a tactic that might not work against an ultra defensive team anyway.

Also good to see Henderson, Matip and Milner take a booking for a cynical foul in a harmless area rather than allowing a dangerous situation to develop. A few of us have been calling for that in the last few weeks.

Oh, and Dele Ali is a c*nt.

That's your reaction to our first win in 2017? Who gives a shit about them, they've not won it yet and they should be much further away from everyone else after that run they went on.

No, I already said there was no negative in that performance. Flawless

As much as I loved that first half, the second half performance was excellent. Just shut the game down and frustrated them. Very reassuring for the months to come.

Actually thought the ref had a really good game, but yeah as the game went on it was mad how much they got away with. Did Alli even get a booking. Thought Kane could have got a red too, cos it was clearly deliberate

Forget the league table, forget our horrible run of results, forget the rest of the season for now and just enjoy the win. My god we needed that.

Our lads ran their socks off there today, fucking hell they covered some ground. A lot of Gin's may have gone unnoticed but he ran up and down that fucking pitch.

All of them were brilliant and Simon plucked every ball out of the air cleanly :)

Lallana & Coutinho's skill on the ball is a fucking treat to see.

It will be nice to have a smile on our faces by the end of the weekend except of course for the 'I told you so bunch', there's some really miserable twats among us in that pre-game thread.

Well done Redmen, immense.

Brilliant performance from every player. Our energy and pressing was superb. Henderson, Lallana and Firmino ran their hearts out.

We were solid at the back and all of our defenders had a good game.

We played a good 2nd half and didn't let Spurs get anything.

Ref was a but quick with the yellow cards especially Winks who pulled out.

Finally Liverpool haven't ruined my weekend. Great first half performance - Lallana, Wijnaldum and Henderson really need to stay fit for the rest of the season.

Also, those who were shitting themselves about Lucas need to get a grip.

Great stuff from Mane today. A nice, composed defensive performance from us with the type of game management that we've been missing this season. Spurs (surprisingly) opted to not sit ten behind the ball and were punished for it. Shout out to Lucas too, who had a very solid game.  I also thought Wijnaldum was very good too.

Also how the fuck did Anthony Taylor not even book Dele Alli once?

Feel confident enough in what that performance represents to say that we could never have been THAT good earlier in the season to not recover to some sort of level. Made up to see us dominate, create, score, and just look good again. Will try and save my frustrations for another day and just enjoy it.

Amazing how just reading a couple of words "Mane, Mane" on a scorecard can change how you feel for the weekend.
We are all lucky we chose Liverpool on whatever day each of us did so.
Can't wait for match of the day, How did Phil play? Going by the comments Wijnaldum was great.
Well done Liverpool, thank you Jurgen. Come on you reds.

Quality performance

Dominated from start to finish. Everyone was brilliant today but a special mention to Wijnaldum. Been one of those getting a lot of stick lately with loads of 'what does he offer' shouts, he was sublime today, incredible assist, kept the ball brilliantly and battled tirelessly throughout

The tricky reds are back!

I said against Hull, that despite losing, I thought we were back in the groove...  of course, no one agreed!

I was right, we nullified tottingham and Mané finished them

No idea how the fuck he stayed on the pitch, let alone not get a single yellow. Snide little twat at times.

Wasn't it him that gave Henderson that shiner? Spurs own fault for letting us play. Taking Can out gave Wij so much more room and thought him and Hendo played well. Lallana linked up and knitted play with Bobby remembering he's better through the middle. Spurs had one chance with Son. That is all

How did Dirty Alli stay on the park. And how did we end up taking a free kick with 9 men, with the ref forgetting to let our players back on. Taylor's the reason. One shite ref.

Henderson was immense. Less said about the double standards of the ref the better
Taylor was incompetent. Not just for us, but also for Spurs. He stood blocking a Spurs player that could act as a decoy to take the free kick that Eriksen took. The one when Coutinho kneeled behind the wall. But in second half Taylor did his best to take the sting out of our attacks.

Last game I was utterly frustrated and questioned the desire and drive of the team,  but that was like watching an entirely different set of players.

Never nervous,  never worried,  great performance.
