Got mine this morning. 9 bells on the button though, throwing seats out at the back at the top price, bought the floor. £13 Booking fees a rip too!

Weird though

Got offered £55 ones in Blocks 5, 7 & 10 all at the rear before I bought standing tickets. Must be selling the back tickets first, weird.

Not that I can really see how they can justify the different price ranges by a score in teh Upper at the back. Yellow £55, Green £45 orange £35

£20 for Noah and the Whale, Swim Deep, Drenge, AlunaGeorge, The 1975 and PINS will do me just fine.

Toy (my current favourite band in the whole wide world) followed by The Walkman at the Liverpool Cathedral on the Friday night looks too good to miss. Throw into that the Darwin Dees are on later that night as well i'm deffo getting some of that.

If you're a fan of Savages then PINS are worth a listen, quite similar.

I'd also recommend King Krule and Drenge, both very good bands.

Oh and the must see gig in March for me is Roddy Woomble at Leaf on Thurs 21st. I've been waiting the best part of a year since he last gig in Liverpool got cancelled.

A few cracking bands to see at Sound City this year - not been to it before so really looking forward to it. I might only manage to make one night of it due to family committments, but Friday looks boss - just Toy, Unknown Mortal Orchestra and Savages makes my £30 well spent. Then there's Darwin Deez and a choice between Everything Everything, Dutch Uncles and Thee Oh Sees all on at about the same time! Would love to get out for Dexy's on the Saturday at the Cathedral as well!

Both very close to each other in Ropewalks area Will. The Art Academy is towards the Liverpool One end of Seel St. The Garage from memory is like a pop up venue using what is normally a car park on Wolstenholme Square - so just down from the Kaz

Glad you've brought that to my attention...presume he'll be playing upstairs to a small gathering? Were tickets all cancelled and refunded or were some carried over with returns being made available?

Cancelled and refunded, was at the Kazimier (i think, it wasn't at leaf anyway) the original gig that got cancelled. Yeah i'm assuming it'll be upstairs at leaf, wonder whether he'll have anyone singing with him as a good number of the tracks on his most recent album had Kate Rusby singing with him.

I simply don't have a musical vocabulary but to my ears The Dirty Rivers evoke BRMC/The Music/Kasabian/Oasis with a John Squire influence.

The Shadow Theatre may well appeal to Interpol/Editors/Joy Division fans.

Bit too high end entertainment for me and her! Was looking more for some decent bands playing or any open mic's? Going town like so will have to be around there.
