I just hope none of that nonsense happens tomorrow, because the Roma ultras or whatever they're called will absolutely retaliate in Italy. And if their bus does take a pounding, this c*nt should be the first in cuffs.

That's the risk isn't it?

There is history of Roma fans stabbing British supporters and you only need one brain dead prick bottling their team coach to ensure that one of ours, maybe more, will end up in hospital or the morgue.

And Klopp has come out asking for fans to behave.

i think part of the reason why that happened against city was because it was city, as you said the Roma lads don’t fuck about, but then again those dickheads who bottled the coach probably didn’t go to the game and deffo won’t be off to Rome, and with what else has happened in the city today I’m worried about what some of those dickheads will do, would assume there’s going to be a lot more cameras as well to catch any dickheads

And Klopp has come out asking for fans to behave.

Hopefully they do. And hopefully if anyone knows the owner of that twitter account from this site or anywhere else, they can talk some sense into him.

Like you said, all it takes is one brain dead prick to assure chaos in Rome for the return leg. And if all this was to happen and we make it to the final, we'll probably lose a lot of goodwill with lots of neutral supporters because we'd be known as the "bus smashers" or something like that all because of a few idiots you can count on one hand.

Looks like the game will have rain throughout according to Accuweather

Met Office has the heaviest of the rain sweeping through by 7pm, lighter rain behind that until about 9ish. Looks like a trough will rattle through, giving a short spell of windy and wet conditions around 7ish, followed by squally showers and a shift of wind to the north. We're used to that. Roma fans and players will think it's fucking December :lmao

So fucking gutted I'm not at this one - missed out on a ticket after being at all but the Seville game

More nervous for this one than the City game - purely down to the fact that its the semi and the excitement that comes from being at this stage of this competition.

Nervous now - Roma are a top team who could easily be CL winners...... but we are Liverpool and the crowd tomorrow (as long as they keep it lawful) will be a MAJOR influence.

Inter Milan / St Etienne / Chelsea - this could be a big one.

He's becoming a real champion for how shit Brexit is.

I read that Guardian piece on him today.

"Since its purchase by the sheikh of Abu Dhabi, Manchester City has managed to cheat its way into the top echelon of European football and create a global, immensely profitable football empire, ignoring rules along the way. The club's newfound glory is rooted in lies."

I went with the older guys I know from London for the 2007 semi, albeit it was a second leg and obviously there was no spares, but I chanced it anyway and watched in the Sandon with loads of scallies, was so awesome- the penalties was brilliant as well. You just can't watch these sort of games in your local. I'm off down to a pub in Brighton for the second leg that will be rammed with 80+ Liverpool fans and have the next day off. Can't wait. This is what it's all about.

Thanks mate. Went to the Chelsea 05 with my old man, on spec… no chance of getting and watched it in The Park in the end! But we made it to Istanbul and the rest is history… so felt I couldnt not come down tomorrow.

I have remained bitch slap numb to the concept of Semi-Final untill about now as a self defence mechanism to keep from freaking out 24/7. ive been a sincere fan since 78 and this special magic thing had gone out of the world for a time, then Rafa produced Istanbul and another final and then the magic went out of the world again. It was so stupid and tragic. But what can one do we have simply borne with it and hoped and now Believe. at first we were told to believe and we believed we believed, but now, we really believe. With this coach and these players we have a serious option of causing some damage here.

Its like a lover coming back to you. I dont have words or eloquence for what this means. I could even deal with losing the tie, Im so pleased with whats going on here. But i dont think we will i think we are gonna be magnificent.

C'mon Anfield. Clean but Savage. I'd like to see a Roma player cry, honestly. +8 Decibels. 12th man Twattage the building herself is shaking herself awake as we speak. A hat trick from 1896 just asked a disputed penalty winner from 1924 what time the energy summoning was being held.

anyway. Fuck. i hope we win.

I'm feeling good about this. Similar to how I felt before the Sevilla Europa League final and the Chelsea CL semi final we lost.

So that's probably not a good sign.

I just can't see us losing over two legs though. We'll have way too much for them at home and West Brom aside, have been a model of consistency for the most part second half of the year defensively.

We'll be fine.

I think we really need to heap some serious credit onto Jurgen here... not just for the content of what he said but for how well he managed his emotions ----- he spent half that interview correcting misconceptions --- just crazy.  You can see him rise and fall with each question.

that was a good interview he also touched briefly on his comments about WBA after the match.

As far as Roma go, the will pack the midfield, take limited chances, and will focus on set pieces and crosses. Karius will have to be decisive and our defenders will have to avoid making mistakes ala WBA. I'm expecting a frustrating stop and start match, I can't see them engaging or taking too many risks going forward. But we need to set the tempo and the tone of the match from the get go.
