Well that was a bit shit, wasn't it? Swansea are doing what everyone knew they would. They sit deep and they are compact. Of course they score on a set piece. Their only real chance of scoring and the only chance they have had. We on the other hand haven't created much either. I think we look too compact too. We jam all our players in the same space as them. This will need some creativity and individual skill if we are to score tonight. I expect Lallana to com on soon if nothing changes for the better early in the second half.

Gomez is not a starter material for a team like ours. We should really get a quality player this summer.

We'll get Clyne back.

And this is the game where we miss Coutinho. Deep defence, packed out midfield, who receives the ball to look to break them down? At the moment, it's either Matip or van Dijk. Of course I don't mind a centre back stepping up to overload and try to drag a defender out of position, but time and time again these guys are expected to make the decisive moments to get the ball to our attackers.

No idea why Gomez plays in games we dominate in possession too. He is always an option to get on the ball in these matches, but surely Trent would be the best player to have for a game where we need decisive passing and crossing? Gomez seems lost defensively lately too, again jumping in too quick and missing the ball.

These are fucking embarrassing, sitting back at home. Hoping they're tire from all the boring defending they're doing.
well ... they're tactics worked ... sit back, make it difficult and sneak a goal. every lower team side strategy when playing against a good side.

we've done the lot today. underhit passes, overhit passes, played passes behind players, bad first touches and of course concede a set piece.
I would honestly let Wijnaldum jizz in my face right now

Didn’t take long did it lad, first opportunity.
It has looked like this for years though. It's classic liverpool. Without some quality in midfield, this is what it looks like.
It's not 45 min, it's more like 45 games

We could easily be 2-1 up. We will get more chances and with a kick up the arse at half time I expect much more urgency in our play. Bit predictable in passing out to Gomez and Robertson for us to then stop because they have men behind the ball.

Won't be long before lallana is on

Agreed. With the way we react to corners, we really need to do everything we can to avoid letting anyone have a corner.

That's been the case since Hyypia left as far as I can see.

The kind of game you notice the loss of that Brazilian lad; midfield full of hard workers rather than guile. Hoping to see Lallana on at some point.

Statistically, we've done better without him in the squad overall (as in, whilst he was here) than with him.

A very typical Liverpool half, that was: dominate possession, create more chances yet be unable to convert them, gift the bottom of the league team a goal and then miss a goal at the last second before half time.

Gonna need some good old motivation from Klopp here.

Looks like we thought we just had to turn up to take the three points, poor attitude. Same three points on offer tonight as the city game reds.

These are bottom of the table for a reason, get at them second half and we’ll win this. Don’t let them rest.

Not great but Virgil seems to be bossing the back four, I never got that feeling from Lovren, its allowing to Matip to go forward which I like

Virgil future captain?

Can has been a bit crap especially seeing as he got the armband, he's trying to Stevie G the game but with about 10% of the talent and ability

We've been hopeless and look like we can't be bothered, fuckers didn't deserve their lead either but that's what we do. Look like world beater against better sides then play garbage against relegation teams. It's as if Spurs' match yesterday changed our mindset and we were playing as if draw would be perfectly ok for us.

2 yellow cards in the last minute was annoying as well.

Typical isnt it? Just when you think that prick Swarbrick has forgotten the cards at home, the first fouls by Robertson and Matip and he shows the card immediately. That c*nt Fer has been trying to kick our players out of the stadium the entire half, and yet not only did he not get booked, most of his fouls were not given as well.

Need to up the tempo second half, these are absolute shite and we will batter them 1-3 in the second half.

We simply can't consistently do anything when we have lots of the ball. It's becoming more and more obvious to other managers. We need new patterns, or a new player or two who can create something out of nothing.

Having said that, Swansea have played some slack passes, so if we can intercept one or two of them every 5 minutes, we should put 2 goals past them, unless Fabianski plays a blinder.

Karius has VERY slow feet, though.

Roberston and Gomez especially aren't really suited to being our wide attacking players against a low block for me. As you say we should get enough chances to win this.

Huge attitude problem with some of these players judging by that

Can get motivated to swarm City but can’t be arsed against Swansea? Utterly pathetic showing. Wijnaldum back to his anonymous normality.

That's utter cock.. Not possible to swarm an opponent that has 9 behind the ball..

Our problem is that we have had too much possession for the way we play.. We need to invite Swansea out so our runners can get in behind..

We need the move the ball quicker.. much quicker.. But to say the players are not arsed is just lazy and utter Bollox..

Typical. But a chance for the chaps to show that they are no longer that Liverpool. The Liverpool that goes to a team destined for relegation, concedes a soft goal and struggles to clear their head.

Came from 1-0 down at half time here last season to win. Admittedly I think the ball will only likely be in play for about 20 minutes in the second half as they will be allowed to waste time with impunity.

Dont think a single player came out of that half with a positive review. We seem completely helpless with the ball. Gomez is having a stinker. To be fair, so many having an absolutely awful game. Dont like the tactic with matip coming up to play a playmaker.

For all of Klopps words about not underestimating Swansea..

And that corner, fucking 4 of us going for the ball. Just amateurish.
