Would be nice to see Lallana start, think he has only started Burnley since he returned from injury. On the other hand, I think Can, Gini and Ox is our strongest midfield at the moment. FA Cup game gives Lallana a good chance to get his rythmn back and maybe rest Salah/Firmino
The reds are coming up the hill boys.

I'd go for the same team as against City but swapping Karius for Mignolet and Lovren for Virgil. Give Virgil the armband. Sorted.

Hit these early and we should be able to see it out pretty easily. I know we beat them 5-0 a few weeks ago but they played some decent stuff in the first half and could have got it back to 1-1. This won't be the easiest game of the season by any stretch of the imagination.

The only mistake I sincerely hope we do not make is underestimate these now that we're off the back of beating the runaway champions.
Do not shift down a gear, thinking- "Oh this is Swansea. Should be easy to beat. Lemme just take a bit of a break.."

That's what usually happens after a massive high.

Treat them with respect. Go there determined to win and give 100% and we'll most likely beat these.

Why? Karius needs a run in the side.

spurs were lucky to get a result vs them a few weeks ago so it wont be easy.

Saying that i expect VVD to smash a free kick in for us. 3-1 to the reds.

Yeah, we'll likely see one or two changes at the weekend you would imagine. We'll take the cup seriously but I cant see West Brom going full strength when they're in a relegation battle and with us being at home you'd think we could give a couple of players a bit of rest and still get through.

Full strength tonight, don't underestimate them or give away a sloppy early goal to get their fans on side and we should get the job done.

Keep it simple at the back, press the hell out of them in the middle and front - and take our chances.

I'd be very surprised if there are any rotations in this game.

They are gong to park the bus aren't they.

I heard on the radio this morning that their manager has found a weakness in our play.   ::)

Same team as last week but Lovren swapping with VVD hopefully.

Hopefully we can blow them away in the 1st half 3-0 and cruise for the second half.
They will have to try.

We have many weaknesses- some glaringly obvious that every team tries to take advantage of every week.
Seriously, we're one of the teams with the most well documented list of weaknesses and we showcase these like a loud prostitute shaking her tits at potential customers on the corner.

Question is... can they keep up with our strengths?

Don't care who starts, what part of the pitch they stand or how the other team set up.  I only care about getting the win and putting 3 more points between us and our chasers and also keeps the pressure up on those we're chasing [emoji16]

Nah, the madness needs to stop one time or another. I want off this train.
We're done with Mignolet, he already knows the score and is already looking out for alternative employment. Karius needs a run and we already said the spot is his.

Keep it as it is instead of making it worse or going back to known mediocrity. We know what we'll get and that's the problem- we know what we can expect.

VVD Captain?
I know Klopp tends to downplay captaincy in this, but it'll be interesting regardless.

VvD, Lallana, Can, Chamberlain, Bobby, Mane, even TAA are all options.

Expect it to be the longest serving player, whoever that is.

He's said before - he's trying to change things re how important the on-field captaincy is viewed

He has stipulated in the past that in the absence of captain/vc, he has looked at the most experienced/longest serving member of the squad, so you would assume that Can/Lallana/Firmino will get the nod. I hope Firmino. I can't help but feel sad for him after his mate left.

Although if he has designs on VVD being the future captain then this is the perfect opportunity to give him the armband. Though I guess you would have to be careful that a decision like that doesn't affect team morale.

Think he'll be captain by start of next season personally, but do wonder if it's a bit too soon... Plus, goes against what he's said (not that he minds contradicting himself from time to time)

It feels like it cheapens the captaincy somewhat by just giving it to the longest serving player regardless of their influence or attitude. In hindsight there's no way that Coutinho should've been allowed the armband.

Who wears the armband doesn't really have much of an effect on the match anyway, I believe Klopp doesn't really see it as a very important detail.

They've improved since the change of manager but we should win this one.

I think Alexander-Arnold and Van Dijk will start, otherwise the midfield and attack picks itself now with everyone fit.
