Sorry I’m late, I’m in work, race has started but I’m happy to forfeit the first one if there’s an issue! Thanks.

After Race 4 this is now pretty much a three-horse race based on selections remaining.  Lots of duplicates.

Oldfordie      284
BoRed      269
LiP 265

Bo effectively needs Premier Magic not to win the next, Limerick Lace to win the 16:50 and DinoBlue not to place
LiP needs Premier Magic to win the next and Its on the line not to place,  Limerick lace to win the 16:50 and Dinoblue not to place

This will be over before the last race whatever happens.

I think!!! lol

Fordie is firmly in command here

Not that it'll happen. ;D

Just worked it out. If Limerick Lace does tie this up they will be leveled on 11 winners each!!

Need to count the second places now

LOL - They both have 6 second places!!

BoRed has a couple of third places but Fordie has none

SO.... BoRed can still win this!!!

WHat do you think we should do if he popped up now and Napped his last selection (Same as Fordies)?  Do you think that would be unfair?

Yeah the point of a NAP is picking your most fancied horse of the day BEFORE racing commences

SO... If no NAP is specified before the first race goes off, then you lose your NAP selection for the day.

I'll stick it in the rules for the next comps

Seriously, though, you should probably have some rule in place, like you do for NRs. By default, whoever doesn't pick an NAP gets NAP in the first/last race, or something like that. Could also be odds-based, but then you'd have to wait until the last race to figure it out (in case the odds change or there's a NR).

Yeah, anything like that.  Just no selective Napping as the day goes on.  Probably just void the NAP altogether if none is posted pre-racing. After all, A NAP is an indication you have at least done a modicum of research.

Yeah, anything like that.  Just no selective Napping as the day goes on.

I'd also not allow replacing NRs as the day goes on, just replace them with favourites.

Probably just void the NAP altogether if none is posted pre-racing. After all, A NAP is an indication you have at least done a modicum of research.

Seems harsh, could just be forgotten. :)
