Were they? We never saw anyone getting searched ???

Yeah, I went in through turnstile 33 at around 7.30 and everybody queuing up there and 34 was getting searched.

The M5 and M4 were soul destroying on the way home last night!
I completely underestimated the journey to be honest!

I'm in Shrewsbury so no fucking motorways, and I quite enjoyed the drive down. The road through the Brecon Beacons is epic!! Proper Top Gear stuff so long as you miss the sheep. Still took 3 hours.

Headache and rain on the way home made it a little less enjoyable. Still, 120 miles of welsh A and B roads in 2 1/4 hours isnt to shabby.

The first half sounded great tonight, 2nd half understandably a little bit subdued.

Subdued? It was dead. Few rounds of "Liverpool, Liverpool" and that was about it. Our lot barely sang a word the entirety of the second half.

I can understand it though, long journey, most had been drinking for a good few hours before kick off and second half wasn't exactly inspiring football.

Same as Villa. Stewards were searching everyone.

Weren't many that got searched at 35, they started searching people but appeared to give up in the end. I managed to get in without getting searched and I had two massive epipens sticking out my pocket.

That bloody drum and their supporters made a lot of noise for most of the 2nd half as well.

Noise is the right word, how many of their 'songs' actually had words?

The only one I can think of was the Brendan Rodgers song.

Stewards were searching when we went through, still easy to get pyro in if your committed enough!

They were singing "Brendan Rodgers they won't sing your name" for about 5 minutes straight with intermittent sshhing to which we responded with silence.

Everyone on the bottom tier in our end started singing

"We're Swansea City, we'll sing on our own" was the main one you could make out on TV. Shite, especially as we'd outsung them the whole of the first half.

Our coach went via Shrewsbury on the way back to Liverpool due to road closures. Some petrol station near Shrewsbury had a rude awakening at 1.30 am when 2 coach loads and a car full of Scousers descended on them. Got back @3.30 am. Seemed to take forever

Got back to near Worcester for 12.30am - really easy to get out of car park and back onto motorway

That drum proper did my head in, still hear it today

Not keen on their singing section being in that corner as made it hard to hear what our end were starting songwise.

Great view from upper though

That's probably why they put it there, keep aways quiet.

Cracking stadium though although the concourse is a bit shitty. One outlet for beer and grub. It was fucking rammed at half time.

Usually Harder to hear the aways at Old Trafford as the mics are further away, but I could hear plenty. United fans only seemed to sing when they had some vile remarks to blurt out about our club.
We already have shit in the country, and the game of Liverpool fills life with joy. Thanks

That was my first away game, and fucking hell! Smoke bombs everywhere and plenty of great songs, my favourite being:
'Your fans are right, Moyes is shite'  ;D
Looked over to the left side of the upper (332, I'd guess) and saw a red seat flying over towards the police and stewards from the back and then some scattered commotion between fans and the stewards, especially first few rows of Upper in 334.
Also nice to see the flare being thrown at them horrible bastards whilst their disrespecting the 96.
Away end was fucking boss tonight - Well in lads!

Agreed on that. Much love to whoever threw a flare on to the manc c*nts below when they were chanting that vile shite. There were a group of wankers at the tram station after the game signing about the 96 as well. Salfords finest

I also noticed them manc inbreds at the tram station singing ville songs but could not help but pity them, anyway i took some pictures(attached)

Not condoning the flare incident in any way, it's fucking moronic but why no mention of the Hillsborough and Heysel references being sung by a fair chunk of their support all game? c*nts.

Throwing that flare down was fucking stupid in the extreme. Not sure if it injured anyone, but could easily have done some serious damage. So fucking stupid. If you wanna have pyro, at least try to prove we can do it safely FFS.
Agreed. I love pyro, it really adds much to the whole experience but throwing it at anyone is extremely idiotic and a reason why the whole thing is banned.

I was there last night and once again I am disgusted by some of the moronic "fans" who follow us away. Nothing more than beaked up, ragarse little scallys who look upon going the match as an excuse to act like a horrible c*nt. I don't get the snapping of chairs? And the rats who threw lighted flares into the crowd - most of which landed on our fans are cretins of the highest order.

One flair landed near me. It is incredibly stupid to do something like that.

On another note, United have to worst fans I have ever come across. No original songs, just re-hashes of whatever we were singing for example, "we won it three times, without killing anyone....".

My personal favourite was "Steve Gerrard Gerrard, he kisses the badge on his chest, and hands in a transfer request"

A minute later Rooney comes across to take a corner and the same fans "ROOOOOOOOONEEEEEEHHHHHHH"

Embarrassing really.
