Why the hell cant we play like that every week FFS?????

We will! First time we've had all these guys to choose from, right? And just the belief that comes with rallying from a goal down, and to finally overcome our mental block against those fuckers is priceless!

Yossi's fucking crap.  Never, EVER keeps the ball - be it finishing a dribble, passing the ball successfully, decent shot/cross.  Such a contrast to Riera on the other wing, who hardly ever gave the ball away, even when in some dodgy situations.

Erm, glad its not just me who disagrees with this.  MOTM on SkySports.com.  Although I think thats over the top, i dont think he played badly today.

What pissed me off was Gray saying whether Rafa has the balls to bring Gerrard on, and when he did, he kept going on about why Gerrard was rested by Rafa if he could play.

I really don't think he has anything against us. More like against Rafa IMO.

So did you miss the part where 10 mins in he's calling Berbatov the new Cantona? Lauding his every touch of the ball?  Or when we scored he makes an incredibly snide comment (can't remember exactly what it was as was too busy doing laps of the coffee table!).

I want the one where he realized Masche was injured and N'Gog couldn't come on. He should have been a baseball manager!

He was going stark raving mad, flinging his arms about like a Chinese traffic conducter. Had me in stitches.

You could hear Andy Gray chokeing over his words at the end, saying how well we'd played and how much we deserved the win. He had to say it to avoid getting into any trouble as it was so obvious we were the better team for 80 minutes of the 90, but he still hated saying it.

Funny, but I felt calm all day, even when they went in front. Just knew we was going to win.

I felt weird when their goal went in because I actually didn't think anything. Normally I sink. I just carried on watching without reacting at all. That is not normal.

Am wondering if I just 'knew' somehow that it would end up okay.

Very strange. For a moment, I worried that I truly didn't care. Then they scored an oggie and it was great.

6-6 draw, 4-5 red cards each side, season ending injuries to Cech, Terry, Ballack Essien, Ferdinand, Berbatov, Nani, Tevez.

That'll do for me.

Honestly I felt the same.  We bossed the game, forced them to play long balls rather then trying to pass through their midfield.  Brilliant, Rafa deserves some of the plaudits for how he set us up.
Yes, my friend. But you know he won't get them for that or the substitutions. In all honesty, I was scared a few times, but that is normal. Other than that, I knew the win was on the cards

Sky gave him MOM

Man of the match: Yossi Benayoun . Constant threat - through the middle and out wide - before making way for Steven Gerrard.

Moment of the match: Ryan Babel's late winner to give Rafa Benitez his first Premier League win over Mr. Ferguson.

Attempt of the match: Ryan Giggs' fizzing, dipping left-foot volley that had Jose Reina at full stretch.

Save of the match: Edwin van der Sar's point-blank save from Dirk Kuyt after making a mess of a corner.

Talking point: That was as good as it got for the United keeper. His pitiful flap at Alonso's deflected shot gave Wes Brown nowhere to go and got Liverpool back in the game. Why didn't Van der Sar just catch it?

Goal of the game: United's top-class opener. Anderson's ball to free Dimitar Berbatov on the right was touched by genius, and the debutant showed his strength to hold off Carragher before cutting the ball back for Carlos Tevez, who bent the ball into the far corner with real style.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I thought that was Yossis' best performance..
they got that wrong.
I seem to recall Sky asking Carra to give the bottle of Champagne to the Man of the Match.....Xabi Alonso!
Haha, fucking hell.
It was Keane and Kuyt's constant hounding of the druglord and Vidic which enabled us to play higher up the pitch, as a unit. Did we hoof the ball from the back? No, cause we played higher up the pitch, which was brought about from Dirk and Robbie.
No one played bad for us today. The team deserve the man of the match award aloing with the fans who were at the game!
I don't get why people say we were lucky with the goals. You make luck, right? Alonso has a good shot, finally uses it, and Riera has the intelligence to follow it up and terrorize Brown and van der Sar into making the mistake. There was fuck all lucky about the second goal- pure determination from Masche and Kuyt, excellent skill and power from Babel, good play by Keane to distract the defenders and the goalie. We bossed that game from after the first 15 minutes to the finish. I don't think I've seen their defense so rattled in a long time.
Since the first match Manchester played against Newcastle,I have felt that this ManU team is not as strong defensively as they had been last year.
Remember Rafa had stressed about their defence yesterday .
It was also funny when rafa got crazy when ngog was about to come on and had to be changed
i think it was funnier when the 4th official is either deaf or Rafa is so slim he didnt see him waving beside him ;D
hope the FA is not going to charge Rafa for giving the 4th official a slight push
anyway i thought masch was so awesome!
he was already limping but still made a tackle while waiting for the subsitution
just like what he said "i'll die to try and get my team a win!"
If I live to be a hundred and Liverpool bring in genius managers who win Quadruples and Quintuples for the club, I'll always point to Rafa as the one who meant the most to me.
Easily the best performance of the season.
Riera had a belter of a debut, lots of lovely crowd pleasing tricks and flicks.
Whole team was amazing but special mentions to Masch, Kuyt, Keane and Riera. Babel was very good when he came on as well.
Reminds me of the Inter result at Anfield last season after the Barnsley debacle.  Wrist-slitting, moaning and general cunting about at the players and the manager and then celebration when we pull off a result.
Anyone having a go at the players after this result seriously needs to lighten up.  We beat the fucking Mancs, soak it up.
The infallible wank stain
Lolzies. More chance of a wank off the pope than beating United, I'm afraid. It is beyond Benitez, apart from when they were at their lowest ebb, when we knocked them out of the FA Cup. They certainly aren't anywhere near there now.
