Linked with 4 players so far: Allen, Sigurdsson, Borini and Dempsey.

What an absolute terrible transfer window.

Is this the quietest transfer window you can remember?

Quiet in the sense that we are keeping our targets under wraps.

Don't see how that's terrible.

Let's be honest if we had any proper concrete targets, we would know about them.

PLEASE JUST SIGN SOMEBODY! ANYBODY! PLEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAASE!

This forum is a joke.

I'd suggest we are looking at more players than the media know about. See Coates and Henderson as examples of how this worked last summer.

Better than buying a load of players for the sake of it.

Would rather if we couldn't get somebody in who can improve our squad, to save our pennies.

That is exactly what i'm saying...  ::)

I'd even go as far as to say, posters like you are a joke by adding nothing to the conversation.

I am asking whether this is the quietest transfer window in RAWK history, I am not bemoaning the fact we have only signed Borini up to now...

But we aren't linked with many names, that is what i'm getting at, it is strange, I can't quite remember a window like it.

to be honest the only reason people picked up on Borini (which was thought to be dead in the water) was because Rodgers came out and said we hope to sign someone by the end of the week. We had obviously been in discussions way before then.

So I'd hazard a guess negotiations are on going or players are being seriously looked at.

There has been hints I think. Didn't Rodgers says not long after his appointment there was quite a few players he was looking at?
Difference between now and when Hodge was here, is that the media find nothing out, and the only snippets they get is when other clubs open their mouths.

We'll borrow Harrys, aparently it's okay to use that one for an extra day or so.
13mins - Bournemouth have gone home. Utd kicked off anyway. Still 0-0 as Smalling passes it back to De Gea.

I don't care if a player fits into our system. I don't care if his overvalued. I don' care how much wages we pay him.

I just want that moment when I open the official site and I see a new player holding that Liverpool scarf. I just want that rush of a new signing...and I'd prefer if his name ends with -inho.

Is long term stability and success the only thing the owners and the manager think about?

How dare they not consider my short term blizz? I remember how good it felt when Cole signed. Oh the memories...

I'm sure there's more as well.

I don't like it. Investment in the team is clearly needed after the debacle of last season and the absolute minimum appears to be being done.

Behind closed doors? Maybe. That's not how transfers usually go, though. Even if the buying club wants to keep everything under wraps, the selling club usually leaks information in order to drum up interest and start a bidding war.

Borini appears to be an astute signing, and it's an exciting prospect having him, but the press knew about that. The same with Sigurdsson. The same with Allen. It's hardly been a covert operation.

Maybe FSG want more value for money from the squad, which would be understandable - hence the cutting of the wage bill and the minimal transfer budget. But the club has to remain competitive and produce much more consistently in the league this year, and I'm not sure that's the way to go about improving.

I think the title of the thread is the answer to this.  It has been a quiet window on RAWK, because RAWK has kept a lid on the inane gossip and speculation and made sure there are clear guidelines regadring starting threads about supposed transfer targets.

There has been plenty of names "linked" with Liverpool by the press, but thankfully, there haven't been new threads popping up every 5 minutes because Sky Sports or TalkSport "sources understand" we have expressed an interest in Mirallas, Ramirez, Holtby, Sissoko, Afellay, Deulofeu, Djemba Ba etc etc etc.

If anyone wants to indulge themselves and read pointless speculation based on "sources" or "insiders" then KopTalk is the place to go!  They'll happily take your money for a load of old shite!

I think people need to relax. I'm sure we'll have all our targets purchased before the transfer window ends.

Transfers are never that straight forward. It takes a certain amount of time for everything to be completed but i'm sure you all knew that anyway?!

Its how a Transfer window should be.
What I love about this, and several other of Kenny's press conferences, is that he manages to say something to the effect of  'Shut the fuck up, you fucking helmets and don't fuck with me or my football club or I'll make you eat your own balls', without actually using th

the transfer window does not have to be a cock-in-hand jim white style wankfest. After last summers influx, perhaps adding one or two new players and working on those from last year to bed in more to a new system, rather than just throwing money at it and adding a whole new raft of player who need to settle in, is the way forward?

Just a thought.

It's partly due to us being in America at the moment and having a new manager. This week is the first time he is able to properly assess the squad so when they get back from America I'd expect a few more rumours

January was quieter, and we all know why now.

I'd say this is the quietest the forum has been as the mods have stamped on most discussion (within their remit to do so, since there really isnt any solid information about our targets this summer anyway).

Best transfer window in ages. People finally seem grounded enough and can rubbish links to Cavani, Hazard, etc. Some exceptions of course.
They say it fades...if you let it.
