Alisson: conceded 7 in over 1,620 mins of footballPickford: conceded 6 in 75 mins of football.
Anyone else being strangely drawn to Dion Dublin's nipples?
He must have the best league start of any Liverpool player in history by now?
Reina had 14 CS from our first 19 PL games in 05/06, but conceded 11. Alisson is on 12 CS and 7 conceded. Id say Alissons is better so far given the goals hes conceded havent been in losses.
Very nice. In terms of stating his career with no losses, he must be up there with anyone.
Right now is a small sample set (19) but given our form and if we continue our trajectory (which there is good reason to believe is sustainable across seasons with what Klopp has set up), he should be really up there in terms of win percentage.
What I mean is, who joined us and played 19 or more league games without defeat in their first 19 or more league games.
The save after coming out was just amusing to me, defenders hold off the opponent then Alisson just makes the save look routine His distribution with his hands is insane, the throws to the fullbacks with a player lurking trying to intercept are just perfect, player never has to even break stride
The chants for Kenny Dalglish that were heard again on Wednesday do not necessarily mean that the fans see him as the saviour. This is not Newcastle, longing for the return of Kevin Keegan. Simply, Dalglish represents everything Hodgson is not and, in fairness, everything Hodgson could or would not hope to be.
He's absolutely immense. I had never watched him play much and didn't get what the fuss was about or for that matter how much better he was than Mignolet and Karius. The answer is clear now and he is levels above the two. Outstanding again vs Newcastle with the rush out of the goal, the presence to get the Newcastle player to delay the shot and then the save.
Normally a player can look great on tubes, but one of the things that's encouraging for me is just the amount of youtube videos on him
I don't think anyone, Klopp, Alison, Edwards, Roma fans, et al, were expecting him to click this well. I think there's just a chemistry at the back with Ali, VVD and Robertson that you can't bottle.
I don't agree. Believe me, anyone who saw Alisson playing for Roma KNEW EXACTLY how good he was. He is the best goalkeeper we could have bought, period!
Yeah Roma fans were defo expecting this, they were fuming he was sold, thought the fee was way too little and were saying he was the best in the world. Watching their games on BT last season was mad, they'd get battered, he'd save every thing then they'd usually get an undeserved win. Teams like Sampdoria were going to Rome and putting up 10 shots on target. Inter away they got hammered and he saved everything till they finally got one late on. Think Alisson also got an assist in that game. That seemed a regular theme, the batterings, and no surprise they've nearly conceded as many already this season as they did in the whole of last season.
...
Did we give Roma any add-ons or performance bonuses? They can have the keys to Anfield if they like, they gave us an absolute beast of a keeper.
Maybe the group, led by your leadership, will see these drafts as PR functions and brilliant use of humor
Hey Claus, fuck off.
Question for those who have played/coached, is this something that is even coachable or you just have to be a natural for both the vision and technique?
Crosby Nick never fails.
Barnes and Beardsley. Went 28 unbeaten that season, not sure if they played in every game without looking. Houghton maybe but he didn’t join til around October I think. Aldridge maybe but he might have lost one or two at the back end of the previous season.
However if something serious happens to them I will eat my own cock.
If anyone is going to put a few fingers deep into my arse it's going to be me.
