Our season was done because of the Diaz, Odegaard, Doku, Fernandes, Everton 10 free kicks to 1 debacles. Not to mention playing extra time in both the Chelsea final and United quarter finals after piss poor decisions.

True. Many have forgotten how many fouls caicedo made in the first half alone in the Carabao final, before ending Gravenberch's game. And he wasn't booked all match. They forget about Chillwell escaping a caution for pulling one of our players down, before he was booked for attacking Bradley. The VVD disallowed goal for the Endo block.
The Salah offside goal and the Chelsea handball in the first game of the season is never mentioned.
The plethora of sending offs we received in September.
The non sending off of Dunk? in our 2-2 draw v Brighton.
Martinelli shoving VVD into Álisson to make it 2-1 to arsenal when we were on the ascendancy.
I'm sure most teams could name individual incidents throughout the season. All teams are probably on the end of poor refereeing decisions. But I'm happy to be informed of the ones that City have had against them. I'm talking about decisions that have changed games.
Like many posters I'm very close to packing it all in. I can't. I love Liverpool. I just long for a level playing field. One where games are refereed fairly, and what is a foul for one team, is also a foul for us. A game where a draw away to Man Utd is seen as a great result, rather than the end of the world.
I'm not sure where our game has gone to. I miss it.

I meant it in reply to running in behind and stretching teams. He wouldn't get the long balls over the top to chase that he gets now in Slots team. It's much more progressive and controlled up the pitch.

Did you miss Benfica having 64% possession at home and 57% possession away in 21/22 when Nunez scored 26 goals in 28 games. Slot's team pressing really high up the pitch and attacking before teams get set would be perfect for Nunez.

Salah's been one of our best ever players. His consistency has phenomenal for us for years, never out of the team. We've shat ourself in the league, he's out of the team and he knows himself its deserved and he's seeing the last glimmer of a chance of maybe his last league title going away today. He threw the head, wrongly. Disrespectful.  I think Kloppo will have dealt with it after the game and that's that. Don't let Sky with their Jamie Carragher and Gary Neville shite make it a big thing when its not

Doesn't really matter much if it's been dealt with or not, they'll only be working together for a few more weeks and there's not much else to play for. Salah's future is in the hands of Slot/Edwards/Hughes.

I was wondering the same thing, but I don't think those are the official socks.

Yeah, apparently the official ones will be yellow.

In that case why was Rodgers getting Gerrard to cold call prospective recruits.

As Gerrard explains:

‘I had an unofficial role at the club, trying to persuade some great players to join Liverpool. It was the same ritual every summer. The club would let me know which long-shot target they had in mind and then ask me to contact him. They thought that a request to consider moving to Liverpool would have more impact coming from me.’

He admits that one ‘long-shot target’ was very ambitious indeed:

‘Brendan asked me to take a crack at trying to talk Toni Kroos into signing for Liverpool. He smiled when I said we’d be p***ing into the wind with this one…I knew Real Madrid were gearing up to make Bayern Munich an offer and so I felt a bit awkward when I texted Kroos. The German was on his way to winning the World Cup with his country and Real were the champions of Europe.

‘Some of the best footballers in the world can also be the most respectful. Kroos didn’t make me feel like I was a total idiot. But, of course, he would soon sign for Real Madrid. We had a nice little exchange of texts and I said well done and good luck.’

Diffrent situation entirely. We're so far ahead asa club on and off the field then when FSG first took over.

Can anyone somehow explain why the referee blew when Gakpo was about to put the ball into the net?

Did the referee wave for an advantage then changed his mind when he thought the keeper wasn’t fit to play on? That’s about as close I can get to a plausible answer. However there was no foul and it looks like the keeper threw the ball down and then stopped to pull up his socks. I’d love to hear a decent answer as I am completely stumped and it just looks like the referee made it up on the sport.

He'll be offside 3 times out of 10
Miscontrol it 3 times out of 10
Miss a sitter 2 times out of 10 (sometimes shooting off target)
Score 2 times out of 10.

Build around the above? Nope.

We have a genuine world class player who happens to be a local lad that we can build around.

2 goals every 10 chances is pretty damn good. Messi averages over 5 shots per goal and Ronaldo over 6 shots per goal. I think you could safely build a team around that level of production.

Most of his chances aren't from long balls though? We face a lot of low-blocks and he is elite at getting chances for himself against such setups.

Haven't watched a lot of Slot's Feyenoord myself but I don't think we've hired him because his football philosophy is completely different to Klopp's, on the contrary in fact.

We can see Slot's preferred 9 at Feyenoord is considerably less effective in possession than Darwin (in a much, much easier league) so I personally don't see how it would be an issue.

Dropped again. As he no doubt would have been for the Derby has Gakpo and Jota been available.

Took less than 2 seasons for him to blow through all of the goodwill Klopp had for him seemingly.

Fresh start this summer for all ofc, but it's not a good look.

He has the most appearances of any player this season.
