Thanks mate. I do like the 810i, but any thoughts on the K1 or 6111?

I am on pay monthly....PAC code is on it's way to me via post, when you say "you can transfer it", how do I do it exactly? Sorry mate - never done it before and not the most technically minded (still using a ZX81  ;) )

Cheers

well once you have the new contract ring up the customer services and say you want to move your old number onto the new phone and that you have the pac code. This will have to be done within 30 days of getting the pac code and usually 14 days of getting the new phone.

K1 = motorola, wouldnt bother. 6111 = pile of shit compared to the w810. plus its a womans phone. Oh and for the record, the v3x was nearly as problematic as the v3 and v3i, so I wouldnt recomend that either.

looking for a phone with good internet access - not bothered about any other gadgets, mp3 or radio, cameras, infared, tv's,  just basic calls, texts and a good browser.

not fussed about the price either as my bf will be purchasing/financing it in the near future  ;D

Is there any danger of Sony Ericsson bringing out a phone with an optical zoom on the camera? Personally, I'd rather have that than just increasing the number of megapixels.

depends really but I'd probably recommend the sony ericsson k310. Will call, text, mobile internet, also has a camera with a video player just incase. £49.99. (from o2).

just wait, im sure it'll happen one day.

£35 600mins 500txts + an extra 2000 mins to use on sat, sun & mon. Fairly good deal I'd say. True though, if your spending less than £35 a month maybe o2 dont have the best deals. Flext on t-mobile is excellent value, just a shame the coverage is so poor.

Just signed up with O2......O2 250, 12 month contract, £30 per month, 9 months FREE*, 250 x mins, 100 texts, equivilent of £7.50 per month. Got W810i for free too. I'm quite happy with that deal and I also get to keep my number. Nice to be able to get a 12 month contract still.

* Cashback with E2Save (part of Carphone Warehouse), and the cashback does work as I've had cashback with them with my Orange contract for the last 12 months.

Three upgrades through O2 just all fallen at once. Monthly contracts.

Wife wanted the N7373 (but not in pink - but as that's all they had she's settled for that).

Mine is due an upgrade as is son's - he wanted a SE W900i but O2 people say it isn't out yet - is this true? And if so when will it be out with O2?

Me? I don't know - have the N8800 which is nice looking but battery life is pants.

Need a good reliable phone with text and maybe something that looks good - have an O2 Exec for email, net etc but don't use it for calls - any suggestions?

so, presuming it's going for between £100 and £150 in April, k800i would make a good phone for my birthday?

currently running at £190 BNIB on ebay.

I'd say the K800i is the best phone ever made as of today.

got the e65 in today and its the usual symbian wank. why do they need to have a separate button for the menu? At least this one loads when you press it and not 5 secs later.

the w880 is poor. A w810 but thinner and uglier. And the k810 is just a nice looking k800.

Not impressed at all so far.

Not sure really. I wouldnt personally recomend and N series phones as we had nothing but problems with them since the first one (N70).

The only phone thats remotely impressed me recently is the Nokia 6300. Not an amazing spec but its so nice to use. I think I may just upgrade to it.

Got my K800i about a month ago and I think its FAB - I highly recommend it to anyone who's currently thinking of upgrading. I personally think mobile phones have gone as far as they can now but look forward to being proved wrong !

we got our first lot today, the first one we switched on crashed straight away. Which isn't a great first impression.

My own opinion is that it's lovely on paper, but the symbian menu system is and has always been fucking awful.

1GB memory stick for the K800 can be bought for £20 now. Doing 2GB ones for £33 too.

Don't think the K800 can be beaten imho.
