Ticket and Travel Info / Re: Season Ticket Waiting List
« Last post by MKB on Today at 02:04:30 am »
I've been on the list 20 years.  Ever since the Club decision not to go for its original, higher-capacity design for Upper Anfield, I've been resigned to the fact I'm never getting a season ticket.  I'm in the low 3,000s, I'm nearly 60, and it's pretty clear, even after the amnesties, the Club have no appetite to require that a season ticket is used by the named owner.

Is there any inside info on which week the Members' Sale will be?

Given the awful Anfield acoustics and lack of end of season lap of honour, I wish Id watched the last match on telly.

Ticket and Travel Info / Re: Trains from London - any general tips, please?

There aren't three paths an hour available (four every other hour), are there?  The capacity issue on the WCML is the principal reason for HS2.

I'd be amazed if this actually happens.  What we actually need is a reversal of John Major's fragmentation of the railways that has burdened the industry with astonishing inefficiencies and the taxpayer with far greater subsidising.

Hang on…. Mostly people genuinely find my opinions unpopular. I feel a bit uneasy that some agree ;D

Given the awfulness of your latest opinion, I also feel uneasy.

Dog friendly pubs. I know lots will disagree with this but they seem to be all the rage now as every man and his dog seems to have a dog.

Used to be guide dogs only but such is the desperation of the pub trade they’ll take any old mongrel now.

Problem is my missus is seriously allergic to pet hair, and I’m sure there are thousands like her and it seriously limits our pub options. First world issue I guess…but still.

I feel your pain. Im allergic to children and it seems even pubs are no escape from them these days.

Seen it posted on X tonight.

Sky TV share yesterday.

Klopp post match farewell 61%.

Cheat Trophy lift 23%.
And that is the fundamental reason why Salah didn't buy a new hat that day...

Just out of curiosity, have there been any whispers about where he might end up? I know Kloppo hinted a little that he might retire, but just wondered if there had been any update on his recovery or whether there has been any interest from other clubs. Would be nice if he ended up somewhere like, say, Red Bull Salzburg ;D

I've had a quick look and there's nothing about him in Germany. transfermarkt.de has latest transfer rumours about him from the end of April when apparently the Corriere della Serra reported Lazio and Roma might be interested in him. Haven't seen the original report, but found it quoted in some Italian outlets, but I don't think it was anything substantive, just that they might possibly be looking at him. Can't see him going to Salzburg. Don't think he fits the profile of players they sign.

Wish him the best wherever he ends up though. Was always a player who did his job whenever he was fit (bar the odd mistake every player makes). Will miss him going on his little adventures, but it looks like Jarrell Quansah has been taking a good look at him in training and will take over his role in the future. Joel also comes across as a great person. It was clear he didn't want to be in the spotlight, but at the same time he was always a good sport when Big Virg and others were putting him on the spot.

Also for those lamenting the lap of honour. It wasn't any great shakes. Yeah it was good fun seeing all the kids and players but deffo a case of "after the Lord mayor's show"

Final 10 minutes of the Wolves match - with Anfield singing 'I Feel Fine' to Klopp throughout: https://ok.ru/video/7355470514698?fromTime=2687 (at 86m 40s into the video)

Thanks for them Jason. That final 10 mins of the Jurgen song with seemingly everybody on their feet, clapping and singing was unprecedented at Anfield in its sustained power and volume. And the raised volume when we got the corner was as loud as anything I've ever heard in the ground.

Watching it back I think the camera focused on Jurgen and then Ulla and you could see they were choked Im sure by the warmth generated by the crowd with that non stop 10 minutes ear piercing serenading. I know I was as my own tears flowed.

Also in the telly coverage Jamie Carragher said not many managers get that sort of adulation. Well Jamie, in fact there's actually only been two - the first one a man from Glenbuck and the second this amazing fella from Germany.

What a send off we gave him. And so deserved. A unique man got a uniquely Anfield farewell. So sad but so inspiring.
