Henderson with heel problems again is not great news.

Nobody knows if it is bad news yet. Klopp himself said he doesn't know if it's serious.

Does Matip even come back into the side when he's fit? I'm not so sure.

Definitely, he's our best defender. Nice job by Klavan, though.

Did he say anything about how bad the problem for Henderson was? It could be something rather minor that doesn't keep him out for too long, if at all.

To be fair, people should probably always include a source rather than just state something about a player having an injury.

Klopp was the source

It's clearly not as bad as it was.

I would send him off to the beach for the week on Monday night myself.

city imposed their style of footy on us and we adapted in game, I doubt we wanted to play the way we did. Still impressive from us though, they didn't really get a sniff and with better decisions in the final third we would of had more goals or at least created quality chances. knife edge game as city could of got an equalizer before they ran out of steam towards the end of the game.

Firmino's got to release the ball when we break (3 on 2 was it?) instead he seemed to hold on too long and eventually lost it trying the elaborate trick.
That annoyed me more than the offside pass first half which was unlucky.

But minor criticism as he as always, put in a shift and kept plugging away at both ends for us.
It's true to say that if Shankly had told us to invade Poland we'd be queuing up 10 deep all the way from Anfield to the Pier Head.

I doubt we wanted to play the way we did.
I think we did. Mignolet kicked it long every single time, we haven't even tried to pass out from the back. I thought at the time it was a very dangerous game plan but it worked so who cares.

Smashing game, I never felt it was in doubt. I thought they might have scored but we would always get one more than them.

Definitely, he's our best defender. Nice job by Klavan, though.
Used his head..

Got a yellow, used his positioning and clever defending.  Hey realllu targeted the gap between him and Milner, and both did admirably.

Did the dirty work today and did it well.  They played better in the second half, we rocked for 5 minutes...

But I was more worried in the first half when they narrowly missed playing in Aguero.  We naturally dropped deeper to counter that, and that probably helped City's game.

Pace from Origi was a great threat for us on the break, but a couple of silly decisions in passing somewhat ruined his impact.

2/3 more quality players that Klopp wants into that squad and it will be fantastic. Plus we have Sturridge, Matip & Coutinho all to come in.

In work tonight and all night....and thanks to the Reds I don't care. Massive result, Chelsea can't and won't shake us off.

We have Klopp they don't, we have the famous Kopites, they don't.

All the best everyone!

Yeah, he didn't look too bad when he was walking off.
Heel probably wouldn't look bad unless utterly shattered. Hope its minor though. Love what he brings to the team.
"All the lads have been talking about is walking out in front of the Kop, with 40,000 singing 'You'll Never Walk Alone'," Collins told BBC Radio Solent. "All the money in the world couldn't buy that feeling," he added.

We have no idea what even is wrong with his heel, and as he walked off fairly OK I would assume that the problem is not that serious.

We have no idea what even is wrong with his heel, and as he walked off fairly OK I would assume that the problem is not that serious.

It seems to have been well managed but he's played a lot of games this season, hopefully a bit of a rest is what the doctor ordered and I reckon we can cope for a game or two without him judging by the form Can is now in, particularly if we can get Coutinho back in the side sharpish.
