We wont sell either of them in January, even for silly money, fact

Exactly. It isn't just about the money, it's about finding players that fit our team and ability to replace them. Come January I think it's virtually impossible for us to replace either of them, no matter how much money we'd get. It's about the right player at the right time.

Not too confident myself, if Benzima keeps on being hot and cold I can see Madrid coming in for him strongly, we've got to factor in that Suarez unlike all the other top forwards isn't cup tied for the CL so could potentially help them push on for it.

No, he won't. Let's not build illusions that will get shattered once again. Let's enjoy him until he is here, but keep in mind that this may be his last season with us. If he stays beyond that, then great. but don't bet your house on it.

A perfect departure would be him walking away with the premier league winners medal

Selling him in January would be absolute madness. We have previous for doing silly things in January but selling Suarez would top the lot. See how the season goes and then if we receive a huge offer in summer, decision time.

The guy who ran around calling for bans and screaming 'agenda' anytime anyone dared mention Dalglish's poor signings or questioning his record in the league in 2012. Seriously, get a fucking grip.

Coming from you  a guy who shat all over Kenny on a daily basis , However I never asked anyone to ban you in fact I never even reported one of your posts, the reason for that is you don't matter pal. You have a go at anyone attacking Suarez but were happy to slate a total loyal  legend for this club, so frankly take your shit opinions and shove em

You could sell him for £200 million, and it wouldn't help as I actually think there is 0% chance of finding a player as good in the January transfer window. You can have your Benzema's, he doesn't hold a candle up to Suarez.

I don't particularly like him but he's magic.
It does no matter how much money Liverpool may get by selling Luis...what really matters is the kind of players we could buy with that money to replace him.

With $50 million Liverpool may just buy two very good players...but not a YOUNG GREAT player like Luis.

Young great players would cost above that sum...

Liverpool should keep Luis Suarez no matter what...unless we get an amount for him like the one Real Madrid paid for Bale.

Loving what he brings on the pitch, he's going to be bloody hard to replace. I really can see Real Madrid coming in for him next summer and if that's the case he'll most likely be gone.

Obviously an exceptional talent and I am thrilled that he has chosen to stay here.

I would love if we qualified for CL by the end of this season as I believe this would offer him additional encouragement to extend his contract. But the reality is if Madrid come knocking, he clearly would like to play there.

I will enjoy this season (hopefully a full season) and anything other than that will be a bonus. He would make it into any team's first XI such is his talent.

My bro has posted a satirical story on his blog about him which is worth a laugh. Have a read at http://fakenewsdownunder.com/2013/10/05/luis-suarez-visited-by-angel-gabriel/

Plus I just don't see it happening. The owner has tried so hard to make him last Summer, why keep him just for another few months? Unless he wasn't playing well or on strike, not even with silly money offered for him, I don't think he'll leave in the coming Jan window.

Keep him now, get in the champions league spots at the end of the season and add to the team rather than replace. That has to be the strategy.

Fearing that  Luisito was getting mad after biting Ivanovich Rodgers sent him to see a famous psychiatrist.

Then Luisito asked the psychiatrist ...How do you determine whether or not a person like me is getting mad?.

Well," he said, "we fill up a bathtub, then you will be given a teaspoon, a teacup and a bucket and we will ask you to empty the bathtub."

"Oh, I understand," Luisito said. "A normal person would use the bucket because it is bigger than the spoon or the teacup.."

"No" he said. "A normal person would pull the plug. Do you want a bed

I think that's shown in the last 2 games as he has come into a side that is adjusting due to injuries and pulled them through.

Calling his signings poor was having a go? I suggest you purchase yourself a dictionary. 'Shat over him' to you is questioning his signings and saying under him league form was poor. Those are facts, not opinions, yet you'd go ballistic anyway. Every single person on this forum knows that. You didn't let anything remotely negative about Kenny's tenure be posted without having a go at the poster. Not once! Nobody wanted to see him do badly in the league yet stating that would get "agenda" "disrespectful" etc responses from you - is that allowing people an opinion touchstone?

Yep, I don't matter, and you're the authority on all things football or the prime minister? Seriously, learn how to differentiate with facts and opinions and then come lecture others.

Luis Suárez says he is calmer and a new man following Liverpool return

• Striker puts biting ban and transfer request behind him
• 'I prefer to continue and not be the same as before'

Press Association
Tuesday 8 October 2013 13.17 BST

The Liverpool striker Luis Suárez insists he has returned from suspension a calmer person and admits he does not want "to be the same as before".

The Uruguay international has scored three goals in two appearances since serving his 10-game ban for biting Chelsea's Branislav Ivanovic.

It is early days yet but both performances have been notable for the 26-year-old's footballing brilliance and not the controversy which has dogged his time in England.

On Saturday Suárez showed his softer side by coming on to the pitch for the pre-match handshakes against Crystal Palace with his new-born son, Benjamin, and three-year-old daughter, Delfina, and he believes his family are a steadying influence for him on the field.

"I am aware that in recent matches that I played I've been calmer," he said on his return to Uruguay ahead of crucial World Cup qualifiers. "I am very self-critical and I realised that playing well, with more tranquillity, is helping me a lot. I realise and I prefer to continue and not be the same as before."

Suárez surprised many by appearing on the field with his children but it is something of a tradition among South Americans and, despite initial resistance from club officials, they gave way on the striker's insistence.

"In England it is not common and the first club people told me I was not going to go with them but I told them that my children were going to come with me, like it or not," he told reporters who greeted his arrival at Montevideo airport in comments reported in Uruguayan newspaper El Pais. "They understood in the end and it was a nice moment, a unique moment for me.

"They [family] make me think hard and calm me. Nowadays I think a lot of them when I'm on the field. I wanted my son to live as I do. I suffered a lot as a child and I do not want my children, or any other child, to experience the circumstances as I did. As a parent I try to give them all the love in the world and all the best."

Suárez dismissed some suggestions in the media that he had used his children to help win over fans on his first appearance at Anfield since the furore of his summer transfer saga when he accused the club of reneging in a deal allowing him to leave for a Champions League side.

"What the English papers say I do not care," added Suárez, who earlier in the summer had cited the British media as being one of the reasons he wanted to leave. "The only thing I care about is playing football, and enjoying my family is what I love most."

That Suárez remained at Anfield despite interest from Arsenal, who tried to sign him with a cheeky £40m plus one pound bid, owed much to the intransigence of the Reds owner, John W Henry, who refused to entertain selling their prize asset.

Liverpool's captain, Steven Gerrard, admitted "waking up every morning, hoping that nothing would happen and that he would still be here" and he was very active in trying to persuade the Uruguayan to stay. It was an approach that did have some effect.

"I do not know if he prayed but what he said is what he feels because he was talking to me all the time," Suárez said. "Gerrard, for me, is a legend in Liverpool and a great team-mate that helped me a lot.

"His attitude was an extra boost for me to take the decision to stay in Liverpool; both he and the fans of Liverpool influenced much for that. I admire him for the great player he is worldwide. For me he will always be a benchmark and at club level he is the best player I have played with in my career, as a person and as a footballer."

It is all going well for Luis and as a bit of a bonus  any money he sends home will be worth that bit more as the UYU the Uruguayan peso lost value against all those pound notes Luis is earning.

An almost 15% gain for the pound over the last 90 days.
So if Luis has had a bit of a pay increase to a 100K  a week then that's another 15 grand a week to stick in his kids inheritance back home in Uruguay.

So happy for the lad... anyway  I just need to check my aul  Winter Fuel Allowance is in yet.... before that gets cut as well.

Aye yer right there lad, we had to pick coal 6 o'clock in mornin' so as colliery boses wouldn't see us. If not we had to sit by light a the flicker of a lone candle and 'ave sawdust fer us tea...aye it where tough in those days my lad..

Excactly, look at Chelsea they have been after a striker for years? Who could they buy. They have all money in the world and much better team and medan chances.
We have to be careful with Chelsea. They might still be pissed at the £50m crock we sold them last time. If they say £80m + Torres we have to say, £70m & no Torres.

But I'd rather not sell. At all.

I have to say I am very pleased that enough fans are looking at him in pure footballing terms, like the owners have.

Don't care about what he has to say anymore.

Just score goals.
