Did very well when he came on against Martinelli. He has a decent argument to start against Fulham in the LC.

He's always been good Conor. I hope Klopp gives him a few more chances this season. We will have the games after all.  :D

Looked very good in the 15 mins he had. Didn't give Martinelli anything. Mature head on shoulders and decent pace as well. Might save us 10s of millions in the market.

He looks very decent. That was not an easy game to come into. He can be like a new signing.

In a lot of respects, he represents a new signing, cos his playing also pushes Trent to midfield - and voila, a new #6!

Fantastic Cameo! He effectively shut Martinelli down, didn't give him a sniff since he came on.

Fantastic cameo anyone who can shut down Martinelli is a talent.

Gives us options to consider moving Trent into midfield.

I don’t think that will happen, I think Beck is more likely purely due to the need to protect Gomez. Can’t imagine it would be both.

After defending vs Martinelli and sending the ball out of play he did a wonderful backwards roll onto his feet to regain balance. Very promising proprioception.

He is very good defensively. He has great balance, gets in really close to the attacker and gets down low so he can react instantly. Did a number on Martinelli. Great prospect if he can fill out a bit.

Shut down the threat of Martinelli when coming on, impressive. Very strong player too, nearly 6ft so physically adept for the league.

So great to see many young lads getting a run out. I do believe it means more to them, and the passion and emotion in representing the club comes naturally to them which plays out on the field giving the club a lot of resilience in competition. It gives the team identity and solid foundation from which to bring success.

Man Utd wouldn't have won all their trophies in the 90s without the youth backbone. Yes you might get better players technically elsewhere and but that can brought in and blending a team with flair and technique only works with a strong, passionate and resolute backbone of which youth players provide. See Curtis Jones too.

Great cameo.  Didn’t give Martinelli a sniff, esp on the outside.  Plus managed to get into dangerous positions a couple of times supporting the attack

Has he grown? Looks about a foot taller than I remember

I am pretty certain you are correct. He was nowhere near as tall as he is now when he made his debut. Against Arsenal today, he looked like a man pressing for his first team place. Two years ago, he looked like a 5’ 6” youth team player with a bit of potential.

Worked with a Bolton fan last year who really rated him. Said he's similar to the Trent stereotype of being great going forward but considerably worse defensively, but I thought he looked really solid against a good side.

Locked down Martinelli well in his little cameo. Martinelli didn’t want a bar of running at him directly or trying to go around the long way after he won their little battle in the corner.

Honestly, that's what I'm anticipating. Bring in another RB on the experienced side, Bradley as the understudy, and Trent can fill in CM, DM, and RB.

Think that’s the first time I’ve actually seen him play. Very impressed - especially his confidence to take on and shackle Martinelli, who looked like he was swinging the game back in Arsenal’s favour for a few minutes until Bradley came on.

The true litmus test would be to start and play 90mins. Martinelli was already tired by that time he came on so that was an edge in terms of physical condition. There will never be a perfect time to start so might as well get thrown into the deep end and see how it goes.

Wasn’t that tired, he’d only been on the pitch ten minutes or so.

Martinelli came on in the 62nd minute.. Bradley on the 75th. Martinelli had the "fresh" advantage over Trent, but Bradley neutralized that when he came on.

Sorry, I thought Martinelli was on the pitch earlier
