Just thought I would start a new thread about the Draw tomorrow, cos I am getting damn excited.

The draw commences at 12:00 CET, friday the 20th March. It will include the SF draw as per last year.

Last night I had a dream... We will get the Mancs in the QF... We beat them, and then we get a trip to the Alliance where we win, then a Final vs Arsenal... and we end up losers! Dont ask me why I dreamt that... You know what dreams are like! LOL

Barcelona (Spain)
Arsenal (England)
Mancs (England)
Liverpool (England)
Chelsea (England)
Villarreal (Spain)
Bayern Munich (Germany)

There will be an English flavour to the UEFA Champions League quarter-final draw in Nyon on Friday 20 March after Manchester United FC and Arsenal FC swelled the Premier League contingent to four by eliminating Italian opposition on Wednesday.

Open draw
Holders United, 2-0 winners on the night and on aggregate against FC Internazionale Milano, join Chelsea FC and Liverpool FC in the hat along with an Arsenal side who needed penalties to oust AS Roma after both legs finished 1-0 to the home team. FC Barcelona and east-coast rivals Villarreal CF are also still involved, although fellow Spanish Liga side Club Atlético de Madrid were knocked out by FC Porto on away goals. FC Bayern München, 12-1 aggregate victors against Sporting Clube de Portugal, complete the eight-team lineup. The draw is open and without country protection.

Stadio Olimpico final
The event at UEFA HQ begins from 12.00CET and will be conducted by UEFA General Secretary David Taylor and the ambassador for the Rome final, Bruno Conti. The quarter-final first legs will be played on 7/8 April and the return matches the following week. The four winning teams will know who they will meet in the semi-finals – taking place on 28/29 April and 5/6 May – as those pairings will also be decided during the draw ceremony. The final will be played on Wednesday 27 May at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome at 20.45CET.

when i saw last seasons draw i called the final spot on, simply cos the mancs got a nice q/f then a messi less barca, i know he played eventually but not 100%.
i dismissed us because we had 2 of the hardest teams to knock out, although our boys made me proud barring riises abomination.
watch the mancs get porto or villareal.

like to think we will see bayern munchen at anfield but i think it will be one of the english teams again not that i don't think liverpool can knock them out because liverpool can just would be great to play someone who we haven't seen for a long time at anfield .

For a trip away... Bayern's is my most preferred. I have been there now 3 occasions, and our fans would love it... The people, the town and the atmosphere. Munich is a great City.

Think we'd all be made up with either Porto, Munich or Villarreal although I'm confident we can progress regardless of who we draw. Hopefully the Mancs will get either Chelsea or Barca because they'll both be desperate for revenge after last season.

I don't really care who we get to be honest as long as it's a non-English team.

My dream is...

To see a QF draw with the Mancs and Rentboys slugging it out again for 210 minutes of draining football (possible League repercussions there), with the winners facing a humiliation by Barca in the SF.

Meanwhile we skip past Porto or Villareal, get Bayern in the SF (shades of '81) again and it's all set up perfectly for the two best teams to meet in the final.

Porto in the quarter finals and either bayern or villareal in the semi's will be pretty happy with that! let all the other english teams fight it out in the other half of the draw with barca.

Had a feeling it would be an English team.
Manc would be nice. I'm sure it would make us more on their minds for several weeks and that may tip the scale to our balance in the league, too!
The more I think about it, the more I want them, too!

Arsenal - "Wenger - Liverpool was Lucky against Manc-" would also be nice to give him some of the bitter medicine.

I dont understand some people, why hope for an easy draw? Its like shitting out and hoping for an easy route, fuck that

Its the European cup ffs, IMO that means you play the best teams around, and the better the team, the better the andrenalin rush. Thats what the buzz of the CL is all about for me. I say slay Barca again, the the mancs in the semi's, and scalp Bayern in the final. Fuck any easy run
