Jeremy Strong is just amazing in this role. The show wouldn't work without his performance.

The happier Kendall is the harder it is to watch due to cringing so much. So thank you Shiv for toning that down

Spoiler
During the good tweet/bad tweet scene in the limo, it was uncomfortably obvious that that was foreshadowing yet another digital disaster for Kendall.

The more hip and self-aware he strives to be, the more definite his later downfall becomes.

And Shiv's letter was downright nasty. Yet couched in putatively sisterly sympathetic terms.

If Roman and Connor think it's too much, it's really close to the bone.

Things really spun out of control in Roy Land this week... :o

Shiv might just be the worst of the children. That scene with her sweet talking Tom into being the patsy sealed the deal.

Yep, mesmerising is the right word.

Tom also has the best lines, my favourite from this episode being: “The DOJ is going to be like a combine harvester in a wheat field of dicks”
Tom saying it was cyanide tablets to Greg was funny.

Another high quality episode. Kendall getting his comeuppance was brilliant.

I’m thinking he turns into an informant for the FBI. I also had a weird sense at times this episode that he might commit suicide. This show isn’t averse to a sudden turn into dark territory after all.

What’s weird is that…didn’t he just totally offer himself up to go to prison? It wasn’t mentioned as a possibility until he brought it up right?

That was a proper laugh out loud moment. I love the way they slip in little things like that - small details that just add to the richness of the whole production.

Thought that was the best episode of the series so far.

Spoiler
Loved all the Logan/Kendall stuff with the Adrian Brody character, and Tom seemingly approaching a bit of a meltdown.

Really hope we get to see Connor's 2024 run, at least the primaries.

Spoiler
Probably equally damaging to them both. Like what Geri said about Roman using the Tattoo Guy story to hurt Ken. Logan probably keeping that in his pocket in case it's certain he has to go, and he wants to make sure that Ken doesn't get the top job.

Also, was Adrien Brody's character deliberately trying to get Logan to keel over by dragging him all over the place? Seemed like he should know the way back to his own house.

100% with regards to Brody’s character, it was a definite test. In fact I found everything he did, to be calculated with a sinister undertone. He was toying with them the entire time, from getting them there in the first place, to the walk, to leaving them alone for prolonged periods of time. It takes a lot to stand out as being a particularly nasty piece of work in a show with practically zero likeable characters but he did to me. Reckon we’ll see a bit more of him

Mind blown!

When everything settles down I think
Spoiler
Logan will be impressed with the way Shiv positioned herself into getting a board seat. She really needs to start getting a handle of the nitty-gritty of the actual business so that Geri, Frank and Karl can't dismiss her so easily as a figurehead. Ken looks like a walking ghost, and she should be able to run rings around the man-child Roman.

I'll go against the crowd in here. I think this season has been, by its own high standards, pretty average.

The dialogue is unmatched and there have still been some great moments but it's lacking the classic episodes of the first two seasons. I think this might be a Covid thing that put restrictions on their filming. Pretty sure we'd have been in other countries and more locations by now in prior seasons.

That being said, the imaginary cat had me in stitches.

This week's episode didn't quite live up to last week's for me, but still fantastic.

The only thing I didn't really like was...
Spoiler
...the way they laboured the whole 'UTIs make you go mad' thing. Yeah, we get the King George thing already.

The Shiv storyline is hotting up nicely. After looking like the good guy in the last series by shacking up with a leftie politician, she's now properly power hungry and it's turning her nasty.
