Yeah, so much that I don't bother with long distance sniping unless I have a suppressor, and that can't be attached to the proper sniper rifles like the Paladin and Koshka. The chances of me getting a kill at really long range just aren't high enough for it to be worth risking giving my position away, and probably wasting the bullets. Especially in a team mode where you'll end up just downing someone anyway, and they'll be healed before you can finish them off.

I’m really into it at the moment. I wasn’t that keen on it myself when I first played it but once I got used to the maps and weapons I’ve been enjoying it. Nomad and Torque are my favourite specialists

Try blackout, it's slower paced. Bigger map obviously too.

My issue with regular MP is the maps are too small, spawn specialist seraph, mindless spawns on top of that. I don't enjoy the specialists much either. Blackout is more boots on the ground level playing, skilled based action.

Yeah, have tried Blackout. Quite fun. But to be honest I've tended to just hide in a building as long as I can, before being forced to venture out - then being shot almost immediately. Having more fun spectating the final few.

Played the beta, loved it, bought the full game and lost interest pretty quickly, especially when the avalanche oh microtranactions came in, I was under no illusions and knew they'd be coming, but holy fuck I didn't think they'd be as greedy as to charge £1 for a red dot reticle, that's just taking the piss

Got to 3rd in SOLO Blackout. That's the highest I've gone, have no idea how everyone bar me finds lvl 3 body armour to be honest

I think it's become overpowered again now that you can repair armour. Basically means you can get through an entire game surviving multiple firefights that the armour gives you a big advantage in. Think you might only get it out of the zombie crates, and supply drops now though. Not seen any in the standard large crates for a while. Unfortunately or me I'm far too cowardly to go for supply drops, or to start in the zombie zones

Now people have realised that a cluster grenade instantly destroys a truck, it's become completely stupid to drive them on roads/past buildings.

I'd say I come across level 3 once every 10 matches or so and that's without a supply drop. I still can't get enough of it me, hope they add some new content outside of skins and characters to it soon.

Completely agree - loved when they just threw in the Hijacked boat - I had no idea it was coming and then there it was on the map! Haven't managed to get myself in one of those armoured trucks with the machine gun turret yet.

This still beats any other BR game in my opinion.

was a big COD fan up to about 8 years ago. Spent so much time of MW2 and Black Ops online. That was the peak of the series for me. Both games had great maps and guns and were both so much fun. i went out and got MW3 and while the campaign was great, the online multiplayer was poor. this was followed up by Black Ops 2 which was also mediocre. I stopped purchasing COD games at this point. Last year i decided to try out Black Ops 3 as i was looking for something to play online. I played for a about a week and got tired of it. i havent touched it since.

I wasnt going to purchase black ops 4 this year but i received it as a christmas gift. I have been playing for a bout 2 weeks now and im enjoying it alot. Its just fun and while its not what mw2 and the original black ops were, its certainly the best COD i have played online since those games. Ok part of this is because they recycled some of the best maps from black ops but some of the other maps are quite nice too. also seems pretty balanced apart from one or two annoyances.

im so used of pressing the left analog stick to melee when i meet someone coming around the corner. I forget that this isnt an instant kill anymore.

Obtaining killstreaks takes skill in this game. Even a UAV takes a bit of work to get. Im yet to get anything above this.

Another feature i like is the different types of specialists and the tactics involved in selecting the correct one for each map. e.g. there is little point for a novice player to pick nomad on nuketown. The match will be finished by the time you get your dog.

i find it almost impossible to get scorestreaks in this. best ive got was one lightning strike. its just too fast for me. my reactions are bad and so is my laggy connection. enjoying it though

Looking forward to this game, and the Famas burst fire gun is back.

Treyarch hate burst fire guns in their games, the Swordfish is garbage and the M16 in BOPs 1 was utter trash, they always make them 2-3 burst kills, im expecting the Famas in Modern Warfare to be a godlike 1 burst kill like in MW2 (my Fav CoD).

I bought this yesterday in Black Market for 800 points.

I swear my Spectre specialist killstreak as gone up a notch since i've been wearing it, it must be the ninja vibes, was playing FFA and was getting 4-5 kills in nearly every game i was using the sword.

Looks boss on Killcam with the red mask on as well when i die.

Massive update yesterday that took over an hour to download.

Jungle flooded map, the arsenal sandstorm has been kicked out of rotation.

Blackout ground war mode.

And they have some superhero type thing going on, not sure what that is but the image looks like it's ripping off a Marvel film poster.

November 14th all DLC content is free, unlock stuff buy playing and earning tiers.

All those suckers who paid for weapons bribes and loot boxes must be feeling gutted today.

And weapons bribe gives you the choice of gun you want, and you get to get a peek of loot boxes before you open them.

I'll be choosing the VMP on my weapons bribe.

Random bump - Just picked this up off ebay for a fiver - surprised its still populated given MW/Warzone/Cold War - but enjoyed playing for a few hours.

As someone who's first CoD experience was MW/Warzone - this is very different - sometimes I get lost with everything going on! What are the guns/classes to go for? And can you actually get grenades?? Only thing I've found annoying is that the killstreaks (esp snipers nest/gunship) are way overpowered

You might has well get your 50 cases and get the VMP, it's the most overpowered weapon in Cod history, it kills quicker than any gun, has better range than AR's and no recoil.

If you don't want to be a VMP tryhard, try these guns below

Best SMG's that are not the VMP are the Cordite, Saug and Switchblade.

Best AR's are the KN-57, Peacekeeper, Rampart-17 and Vapr.

Don't bother with tactical rifles, if you want to run n gun, these guns are only amazing for medium to long range where the strength's of those guns are.

Perk 1 , If you are not using Scavenger use the Tactical mask or Flak Jacket, they counter a lot of equipment.

Perk 2, Gung-ho its the most overpowered perk in the game, reload while sprinting and you have quickdraw as you aim faster coming out of the sprint.

Perk 3 Ninja.

Always use the acoustic sensor, its the most overpowered equipment.

It's a really fast paced CoD, very arcade like, sprint shots, jump shots and sliding, it has a quite steep learning curve, but if you are struggling just use the VMP, it's the perfect gun for bad players to level the playing field somewhat.
