My guess is that the Echo forums are run differently to their website but in the same to the icNetwork boards and from time to time these type of ads slip through the net.

Click Liverpool has a strict filter to block anything connected to the S*n but occasionally one slips through the net because they have linked up with another company for a promotion (e.g. Debenhams).

Owned by Trinity Mirros, as stated above must be seperate advertising in place on a link.

Both of these rags are an absolute disgrace but remember that our Captain once had a number of articles published in the News of the World in order to sell his book.

Could we please re-iterate YET AGAIN.

We request all members of this site to desist from posting stories that have originated from either of those two rags. If people persist in posting links or stories originating from those rags, your stay at RAWK towers will be very short indeed.

The rest of the members and moderators are busy enough as it is without these links or stories appearing. We have more pressing matters at hand than having to read what Bascombe has made up.

Thanks.
Seriously can't believe how any red or even any decent scouser can post from them rags. I feel like eating my own brain sometimes

As OOT'erConnie says really. It's the Sun's Sunday stablemate, just as the Observer is the Guardian's offering on Sunday, just as the Sunday Times is the Times' Sunday publication.

If you don't like censorship or want to readbthen rags then come to Liverpool and read them and see what happens. Why does anyone have to justify why we hate them two rags? There's freeness of speech and opinion but anyone who reads or takes offence at this rule does not care for the people or the city or the club or mostly the 96.

Will posters also be aware that posting things like

The s*n mentions Arsenal being after Reina and laughing won't be taken lightly.

Do not mention thet newspaper or it's sister sunday rag.

Not hard to fathom is it?

Just wondering if watching sky sports etc is frowned upon given thats it a third owned by the same corporation cos I know a lot of folk who bang on bout the shite who then go and watch liverpool on sky and quote from them when they are part owned by the same twat.

that's something that has been debated in depth on a few occasions and not only on here but other sites and probably in many a pub.My own opinion is that to extend the ban to other media outlets other than the 2 rags would in fact dilute its effect.

Very different issues. The aforementioned papers are very closely linked, not least through advertising which includes both their names and insignia in promotions.

If you boycotted any remotely connected to News International whether it be the Times, Sky or other, the current and only boycott in place would be highly diluted to the point that people lost sight of why there is a boycott in the first place.

A quick question, is the NOTW banned as a blanket or just from LFC Stories? I ask as the story  re the Pakistani cricket team, is a massive scoop? And also Bascombe was the first to highlight the debt issues

Mod's are on record about how good a job Bascombe did on the debt story (though it was picked up a week late due to the ban)

I'm not admonishing them (though I disagree with the tenuous link between the two papers) but on this occasion they've landed a massive scoop and should surely be allowed to be discussed with links?

No.

Disagree all you like with the link between the two papers, our stance is clear. We see a link, hence the policy.

"...should surely be allowed to be discussed..." <---- not on a moderated football forum, no, at least, not on this one.

Ok, fair enough, just some mod's are on record (i.e posted) about the good work Bascombe has done

And to take the NOTW/Scum boycott further you should include The Times

The Sky link to the 2 rags is a tenuous one and as was already said, would dilute the notion of the 'real' boycott.

I did switch channels once though when K***** M******* was on the 'Would I Lie To you?' comedy panel show.  You couldn't make the irony up!

Some people are too fucking thick to read them though, so they'll pay up anyway and just look at the pictures and grunt unintelligibly. No change there then.

Have a week off to think this through. You're a nineteen year-old lad from Denmark who wasn't even born in 1989 yet you're lecturing Kev about Shankly?

Do a bit of reading and try again in a week. This will do to start with:

http://www.hfdinfo.com/

I read the 20 questions and couldn't stop myself welling up.
