Stewart, Fraunedorf, Gordon, and Mabaya. No Blair or Ennis either who haven't be regulars but would have given us something off the bench if we'd needed a goal. Only Stewart would have been guaranteed to start and maybe 1 other. Ojrzynski likely would have started in goal as well

All the four you mentioned at the start would have started mate.  All of them. Gordon is cup tied so can't.

Don't think it Mabaya starts over Balagizi, Corness or Morton in midfield or Bradley at right back where he was moved to in the last round. Musialowski was likely to start given his form and Woltman has started a lot for the u18s. It's more likely that all 4 wouldn't have started if available

Frauendorf was on the bench mate. He just wasn't selected to start and I agree with Chris that Mabaya wouldn't have started either.

If Stewart was fit I have no doubt he would start, given we didn't have a natural striker in the team and also we dropped  down others such as Bradley and Koumetio down for this game. Interesting to see United dropped Shoretire down from their senior team for the game.

Makes a change to say this but completely  undeserved score line in our favour.  Good goals by us but Brighton had so many fantastic chances.  Happy for the luck.  I really like Owen Beck and Connor Bradley as full backs.  The former must have been largely injured last season because Norris played all the matches - and he’s good too.   Dare I say it but I like Luke Chambers as a LB too.

Of those who played today in the U23s, I should think only Cain and Clarkson might make the odd competitive appearance for LFC, but that’s not saying anything new because they are training with the firsts.  Owen Beck is interesting but it is way too early too tell.  That’s no shame on others - playing for LFC really requires players to be close to international standard, and even then, so many England youth internationals never make it.  Cain and Clarkson are not near England youth teams, but maybe not being seen as speed merchants or highly athletic builds counts against them at a young age.

1-0. Woltman right at the end of the half. Would say it was deserved as we've been the better side with Wolves sitting deep. Created a few decent chances, hopefully opens up a bit now in the 2nd half.

Comfortable 4-1 win in the end. Missed the Wolves goal but from that point to our 2nd it was a much more even game, Wolves probably creating the better openings in that period as well. Gordon's first was good, shifting on to his right when coming in to.the box, definitely the sort of finish that'll be handy to have when breaking in to the first team

Gordan's first goals, very nice. Think a few of the under 18's will be moving to the 23s at the end of the season based on this year's performances.

Half time v Man City in U23’s. 2-1 to ADFC. They’ve got the edge on us. Not surprising as they have the choice of about 500 players out on loan at the moment!
