Good half, but we're too sloppy (at both ends). Lovren must clear that, and of course Firmino must score, we should be further ahead. Our midfield should control the game better, Wijnaldum does his best, but we need more from Henderson and Can especially. Moreno is very effective today, great play for the goal. Love Salah, perhaps our best player this half, and despite the penalty miss, Firmino continues his great start to the season. Such a clever player.

Their goal showed why we need a new center back, but at the same time why just buying a new CB wouldn't solve our defensive problems. There were three situations where the attack should have been halted: Can, Gomez and finally Lovren. Lack of concentration is the key to our poor defence.

It was a must during the Summer. Naive to think we would be alright going into the season with what we have. I just feel sorry for our front men being let down by the ones at the back.

Where did I say that?

Of course Lovren shoulders the majority of the blame but you listen to Klopp talking in a post match interview about a goal we've conceded (normally when a defender or the keeper has had a stinker) and he'll very often say there were half a dozen chances to stop it further up the pitch.
