Very different Sevilla side to the one that beat us in Basel. Just having a gander at the squad.
The likes of Mariano, Rami, Krychowiak, Coke, Vitolo, and Gameiro, several of whom tormented us in that second half, have since moved on.
In their last league match (3-0 victory over Eibar), only Sergio Rico (unused substitute), Daniel Carrico (now captain), Sergio Escudero (who started the EL final in place of the injured Benoit Tremoulinas), and N'Zonzi were also a part of the EL final in 2016.
Other players that have moved on from Sevilla recently include Konoplyanka, Llorente, Jovetic (on loan last season), and Vietto (on loan last season).
Their squad is comprised of some fairly big names, many of whom may have been forgotten about over the years. But as is the case in the past, Sevilla may be able to get the best of them. For example, their defence features the likes of Sebastien Corchia (recently got a France cap but been touted for ages) and Simon Kjaer (remember him being the next big thing at CB in 2010). Midfield features the likes of Ganso and Johannes Geis. A couple of former City players, Nolito and Jesus Navas, are in the side, and upfront, they have Luis Muriel and Wissam Ben Yedder, both of whom we may have tenuously been linked to when they were at Udinese and Toulouse respectively?
If you were playing FM 2011, this would be a side full of wonderkids and budding stars.
Don't know much about their manager either (Eduardo Berizzo), but they finished 4th in La Liga last season and are in good form this season, with 7 points from 3 matches.
