Carra is THE player Shankly talked about, the type that would run through a brick wall for the club.

Always put the club first, threw himself in front of shots, doing whatever necessary to keep our defence intact.

For me the passion in Carra's voice is second to none, not even Dalglish. He loves the club and we are forever indebted for what he has brought.

Can't believe its come to this, the final game, but we love you Carra and hope you will continue to work with the club.

Carra deserves all the plaudits he gets. A great and loyal servant of the club, he's shown real dedication and his work ethic is an inspiration to youngsters. Will miss him barking instructions on the pitch, and I hope we see him return to the club in way or another. YNWA Carra.

Thank you for everything Carra!! Was my favorite player for many years and one I always tried to copy as a defender. Definitely a Liverpool legend.

Always gave your all, always tried your best and never gave up - be it at right back, left back or centre back.

Thats why we love you.

Shame you never won the league title, but you won everything else.....not a bad medal collection at all!!
