I would die for Cillian Murphy.

In what way?

Is it those eyes?

Is his tongue wet?

Very disappointing series so far.

This series, like with Line of Duty, risks becoming a victim of its own success.

Almost a parody of itself two episodes in.

The slow motion walk down the street thing is now very irritating to me. It accounts for about 30% of the shots

This new one is a bit average don’t you think? They went against the bloody Mafia in the last one so I suppose it would be a step down whoever they went up against next.

I agree she is really annoying. The Billy Boys were apparently 800 deep in their prime so that’s not a gang it’s more like a bloody army. Suppose if they turned up in Birmingham Peaky Blinders would be done In the next episode but obviously that won’t happen  ;D

It’s a very good fictional show but they do use the odd real name of old gangs or gangsters but nowhere near the original story of them as it’s not really a biography show.

Not sure, I know Billy Kimber was a brummie though not from London like in the show and actually retired on the South Coast somewhere.

A bit average that episode, feels halfway through and nothing really seems to be progressing and it will have to gather a ridiculous pace to feel satisfying in the last 3 episodes.

Also why couldn’t they find a decent Scottish actor to play the main Billy Boy, as his accent is awful even to a non-native of up there and then Aberama Gold in the back of Polly’s car, sounding like a camp Welshman, we were laughing out loud watching, no idea what Aiden Gillen was going for there  ;D

They have done the whole gang thing. They should have introduced the facist threat much earlier.

In the first few seasons the whole infiltration and killing of Irish appeasers and Russians were introduced much earlier on.

I'm assuming our Stevie Gerrard has to curb his enthusiasm for this at work. Good 3rd episode I thought. The worst thing they have done in a sense is leave such a long gap between series. Six months would be better than a year and a year is much better than two years, as we have.

This is the first series where the interaction with a historical character does not lead to an unknown outcome, as Mosley is a mainstream figure, there are only so many variable results of his role in the storyline. Otherwise, I am enjoying this more than most of you by the look of this thread.

They can go with it wherever they want though.

New series has been a bit of a slow-burner but I'm enjoying it too. It's very hard not to enjoy Peaky Blinders, to be honest. Series three tested me on that front but it was still good TV.

Not sure where this is going at the moment. The  show jumped the shark a bit when Tommy became an MP (still entertaining though). This season there has been a whole set of different strands that haven't evenly matched up.

Spoiler
- Like Polly would really want to marry or be interested in Aberama Gold

- The way that Tommy suddenly starts having visions of Grace

- The abrupt way he figures out who the father of Ada's child is (surely he knew earlier)

- The fact he's still got enough cash for his house, despite scrambling for every little hustle, all the while being an MP

There's so much paranoia in this season I'm fully expecting him to go full Ray Liotta in Goodfellas claiming he's been stalked by an airship while on a barge

Hopefully it all neatly comes together at the end.
