Really grim stuff. Thoughts are with the victims and their families, not just those that have lost their lives but all those kids who might have come away unscathed physically but will live with the consequences for years to come.
Every time this happens though I go back to the same point. In 8 months in 1940-41 c.40,000 civilians were killed in the Blitz. We got through that and won the war. Say if the death toll rose to 50 killed, the terrorists would have to be staging a similar attack every single day for 2.5 years just to reach the death toll from the Blitz. We've been through far worse and come out the other side.
Attacks like this are horrendous and I'm not sure you ever win a 'war on terror' - for the forseeable future these attacks are going to be a risk of life in the UK, just like dying in a road accident (1,732 deaths in 2015 in the UK).
But in terms of the big picture we are winning the war on Islamic Fundamentalism where it matters on the ground in the Middle East. Not long ago there were stories in the papers about the terrorism risk from people coming back from Syria etc who had bailed out of ISIS because the military situation was falling to pieces for them. Maybe this attack is one of those. If they blow themselves up every time then it won't be long before the supply of home-grown martyrs dries up.
The whole point of terrorists is that they cause terror. So long as we remain calm and keep things in perspective we are winning and they are losing.
