Fact is, the vast majority of ex-players are thick as two short planks so it's no surprise they talk annoying repetitive bollocks.  The inventor of the mute button deserves a Nobel prize.

The Uxbridge bye-election was lost because of ULEZ, I don’t think there is any doubt about that so I’m not quite sure how Starmer calling that out is scapegoating if its true?
Starmer tried to get him to rethink ULEZ didn't he but later backed Khan's commitment to clear air? That's the problem - it makes Starmer look like he's blowing with the wind and hard to pin down on policies.

Surely hedging her bets would be to stay in the Assembly until after the General Election so she still has that if she fails to win a WM seat?
Yep that's a good point! Not the best phrasing

Yep exactly. She was essentially hedging her bets, and although there's obviously PR and a list element involved in the voting outcomes (which will be their main defence) obviously they were able to use her name and experience already in the Assembly as a selling point only to then cheekily back out having succesfully pulled the wool over voters eyes

Surely hedging her bets would be to stay in the Assembly until after the General Election so she still has that if she fails to win a WM seat?

Not disagreeing with the general point though, it is a shitty move.

As for radio, or rather 5Live, yeah it still does it. Ian Dennis needs no introduction given his and Shearer's commentary against Barcelona five years ago. Conor McNamara is also excellent. You have John Murray too who speaks with such enthusiasm and real joy for the game. Although Alistair Bruce Ball is 'Fletch' territory, in it for false hysteria and sloganeering.

Why the 5Live commentators don't get the TV gig is anyone's guess.

I really, really hope they get Pat Nevin in for TV for the Euros. Really like him with John Murray.

He seems like a pretty decent manager, I guess they were expecting the play offs, maybe they’ve got Wayne Rooney lined up

It has not gone down well with the supporters at all, it just stinks of impatience to me.

It's just random I think, I never had any problems before this.

Congrats on the cheaper ST! Not far off that myself now
Not sure congratulations is in order. I'd happily pay full price if I could wind back the age clock  ;D

Arne Slot hasn’t even been pictured leaning yet (is that still a condition of signing?) and a couple of miscreants and rascals are disparagingly likening him to Brendan Rodgers. Not that Roger’s was that bad but the gloom sayers have picked out Roger’s least likeable character traits and passed them on to Slot.

Unbelievable.

As Sam Cooke sang ‘A change is gonna come’ and ours is coming. Let’s enjoy it even though the ride may be bumpy.
Agendas being laid out for the hoped-for "See! See! I was right!" crap as soon as he struggles.

Yep, look at DNA as a thread wound around a bobbin. You only unwound the thread when you want to use it. Similarly DNA is only expressed when the cell needs certain proteins and this can be triggered by transcription factors and now we know that the environment can trigger expression of genes that wouldn't ordinarily be expressed.

So basically, the DNA is not altered structurally (mutation) but functionally.

Again, with this material!

You'll be banging on about net spend and Coutinho in a minute!
