BEAST! He seems to be surprisingly comfortable on the ball, as well. Just don't play him at LB. Covered gaps well and had Altidore in his pocket. Don't think he lost a single header.

His best performance today for us. Very comfortable on the ball and great in the air. He had Altidore in his pocket all day!

Monster of a player.  Worth whatever we paid.

Love that he doesn't mindlessly hoof it.  Keeps it on the ground with composure.  It'll get more consistent.

My only concern when we signed Sakho was his tendency to go to ground/dive in to tackles, leaving himself on the floor.

That has certainly been addressed & he has grown every game.

This guy could be an absolute steal for what we paid for him.

Excellent today.

Absolute Beast.

He was so solid today, his passing stance/shape is really weird but he always seems to find someone and chooses the right pass.

On his few appearances I'd say he was worth the price tag.

He looks like a CB trying to play football so uncomfortable at times but he has a knack if getting away with it , I just hope he doesn't push it too far because 1st and foremost he's here to defend.

I like the three at the back, I'd have Sakho, You're and one of Agger or Skrtel, nice position to be in.

I like that he is getting better and better and the media and other fans haven't worked it out yet. A couple of months there going to be this sudden media shift where all the pundits claimed they always knew he was top drawer.

Reminds me of Djimi Traore on the ball, the way he can get the ball caught in his feet and his action but aside from that is welcome addition the the backline along with Toure, solid, uncompromising defender. Glad he's stopped diving in with those wild lunges too.

A rock today. Flawless. With more games, he'll become even more imposing. Today was all about getting all the basics right. Haven't seen his stats but I think he won practically all aerial duels, all one-one ones and had a very high pass completion rate.

Got the stats: missed only one aerial duel:
47/49 96% passing 100% ground duel win (2/2) 80% aerial wins (4/5) 100% clearance success (8/8) 100% tackle win

For a fella that runs and shapes up so clumsily he's a bit fucking good isn't he.
Having been convinced by his heading and footwork in previous games, today was an opportunity to appreciate his alertness, particularly in the first half when Sunderland were a bit better.
He's reading everything brilliantly. What a good signing this looks to be.

His aerial dominance has been as advertised really.

I'm not one that's criticised Skrtel too much and didn't understand why he was left out in the cold last season but watching the two of them next to each other today against a unit in Altidore was quite an eye opener for me. Sakho seemed to bully Altidore and win every header (even when being fouled) but Skrtel seemed to be bullied by Altidore and lose most headers. I was actually getting quite frustrated with Skrtel second half - and I'm quite a calm head during a game.

Then there's the passing aspect and again, Sakho was very good. Pretty much an all round good performance from him.

Toure played well too. I think a back 3 of Toure Sakho Agger would keep and pass the ball pretty well.

For the sake of fairness, Skrtel has a couple good runs forward with the ball - the one long one in particular resulting in a yellow for their player.
