A lot of you seem really happy about this signing, so I am about to start the Gakpo out train. I've had a look in tripadvisor, and it says he has the lowest completed passes for any top level player across all the big European leagues, only completing two thirds of passes. So roughly translated that means he gives the ball to an oppo player for about half an hour in every match. Pack your bag son, we can't be having that here.

He's shown enough for me to think he could be a good buy. Considering how much the team have struggled its been good to see our new signing strutt his stuff.

Looks very calm and composed I like that. Maybe a false nine type of player more than someone playing wide?

Yep I think so he isn’t incredibly quick like some of our other forwards.

Ya . iv been very skeptical of him all season for psv and holland . Never thought we be signing him . never impressed me really off left for psv but i thought he was better with holland as a no. 10 . goals papered over him being quiet in some world cup games . We have 3 players for 9/ false 9 as it is . If we ever switched to 4-2-3-1 he could be class as no 10 i just don't fancy him as wide forward from psv games iv seen .

Agreed with this.

We must be thinking about switching formation.

From what Ive seen of him he isnt a typical Klopp wide forward.

Good first half… thought we were getting some joy down the left side.

2nd half he tended to play more central I thought and couldn’t get into the half.

Didn’t realise he was so tall.

I'll not be harsh on him because the entire team's performance was dire, but he hardly set the world alight with that performance.

He is quicker than what he showed today. Didnt quite find the right runs we want him to make but first game after maybe a couple sessions with the team. Linking up quite well with Robbo and I think he'll be good but another one that'll take some patience.

The poor blokes been absolutely stitched up, the decision makers have essentially said this guy is so good he negates the need to buy a midfielder
If he's being asked to head the ball too frequently - which isn't exactly his specialty - it could affect his ear and cause an infection. Especially if the ball hits him on the ear directly.

If we go 4231 with him as a N10 we only need 2 CM.  ;D

But yeah it's insane not to sign a CM this window.
