To be fair, I thought a 30 million move on him was a massive gamble and I think many others did too. I'm convinced now that he's been our best player under Klopp and should be up for the Balon D'or this year, alongside Van Dijk. He should certainly be there above Ronaldo. Don't particularly care for personal awards like but it's always nice to see our players get recognition.

Nearly as good as fans wanking themselves over Markovic. I thought Mane was a good but expensive signing at the time. I thought he was a massive improvement on what we had. Did i think he'd be this good? no way. I doubt anyone did.

Football eh? Never know how these things will turn out. I see a lot of references and comparisons to Mkhitaryan who presumably moved to Man Utd that summer and how that was a much better deal.

He's brilliant isn't he? He'll have the odd game like he did against Sheffield United where he can't hit a cow's arse but then will put that right the next game, and then some. He did the same last season when he missed all those chances at home to Napoli and then went and scored the first against Man Utd at the weekend.

I love this guy, he is so grounded and humble as a person but he’s incredibly ambitious. I remember when he signed for us he was different to so many players to sign for us at that point, they thought they’d achieved something because they signed for Liverpool, he came across as though he thought he had a chance to achieve something now he was at Liverpool.
