Gem of a player and by all accounts, a great guy

I'm really torn with Sadio

Charitable as fuck, sent so much back to his home, amazing player

But played for rapist oil slave owning Saudis and married a child.

I don’t quite get what you mean here?

The most you could win with this season is 89.
City's maximum points could be 91.

Last season, City won it with 89.
Arsenal came in 2nd with 84.

On the surface, at least points-wise, if that's how it ends up, that will be an improvement. But you'll still finish 2nd. You've yet to learn exactly how hard that is to take mentally and physically, year after year. You're only in your 2nd spin in the 'The best you do still isn't the best you need to do' cycle. This is what Liverpool fans are trying to tell you. Everything below City changes. City doesn't change. They haven't lost a title-winning season with less than 86 points. Arsenal may not even crack that this season. They certainly haven't cracked 90 in the 2 best seasons under Arteta. I'm sure Arsenal fans will point to next season as the one where that will happen, since they've slowly increased their total over the last 2 seasons. So you're going to get what? 91 points next year? And City won't sustain, is that it? They're suddenly going to start plateauing at 88/89 points? I wish you the best of luck with that hope. We've carried it for over half a decade.

That was a joy to watch. Sadly he wasn't flanked by Mané or Firmino, and ended up playing a shite pass to Nunez.

After my post the other day where I went through his last three seasons of goals, highlighting how hes changed from speed and outside of box/great hard finishes to pens and end of a move tap ins/slots, I thought he was doing it just to spite me.

There are a couple of things firstly one of the big triggers for stress is not having control and the power to do things. Secondly I am actually an advocate of a Sporting Director model. The thing is it is hugely important role and for me Hughes hasn't shown anywhere near enough to be given the role.

Edwards basically made his name by getting big fees for players like Ibe, Smith and Solanke amongst others. The worrying thing is it was his mate Hughes who was buying them. Then you get to him appointing the likes of Scott Parker and Jason Tindall as managers. Hughes has spent a lot of money at Bournemouth relative to the size of the club but he hasn't really made money on many players.

I'm sure Edwards done lot more for us than getting decent fees for those 3.  ::)

Honestly if I was given at the statrt of the season that we would Win a Cup and in doing so, automatically qualify for the CL I would have taken it.
Just that one tweak for me  :(

- One of Nunez or Diaz (probably Diaz as he's seemingly attracting more interest) but definitely not both.

Doubt either would be sold, I would hope not.

Klopp's on the best part of 20 mill a year (similar salary to Salah) so if you save on those two salaries it's a lot of money.

We'll pay Feyenoord around 10 mill and Slot's salary will be maybe  in the region of 10 mill a year. If it's nearer 15 then combined with the compo it'll work out about the same over the 2 years as if Klopp stayed. It should be weighted with bonuses as well (CL qualification/trophies etc.)
Slot is on €2.5m at Feyenoord, a huge increase for them agreed last year when Spurs were sniffing around. I'd be shocked if we started him on £10m especially given he has significantly less responsibilities than Klopp and that compensation figure.

This is always the way for City, they get the easiest run-in every time.

At some point though, they'll drop points toward the end of a season, and since we're absolutely cursed when it comes to the league it won't be against us. So you never know, I'm crossing my fingers for you.

Spurs away isn't easy. In fact, it's a bit of a twat of a fixture for City if Spurs need points for CL.
