Thanks for posting that Wimbledon interview.
Thing that always gets me with him is he’s 20yrs old and has the mentality he has. He’s been lucky, he’s grown up in a world class football set up with great people around him, but his mentality and attitude is so far beyond his years.
He’ll be considered a generational talent, when he hangs up his boots, not just within the confines of the historied club he plays for but the entire game. I genuinely think he’s that good. His attitude defines him; he’s got a lot of confidence, he works hard, he comes across as humble in his tv interviews and he’s grasping the amazing opportunity he has right now the right way. The opportunity to cut his teeth playing for a truly amazing manager, alongside amazing footballers. The amount he’s progressed in just 2yrs is actually unbelievable if you think back to his trajectory.
He’s still learning the game and learning leadership in the best place in world football right now - he’s nowhere near as experienced as a Van Dijk or Salah or Mane... he rubs shoulders with them on the highest level of his profession on a weekly basis and his star shines more and more. It’ll be the brightest star in a squad full to the brim with them soon enough, he’s that good.
