What a great story this is about Sadio buying 300 football shirts for his home village. Great guy.

https://www.theguardian.com/football/2018/may/24/sadio-mane-senegal-liverpool-champions-league-final-300-shirts?CMP=share_btn_tw

that is so cool. Such a nice thing to do for the kids in his home especially!

He just seems like a lovely guy, like a lot of the players on this team really  8)

By all accounts, the team spirit/morale is something special. I think that’s why, or because, Klopp has the attitude that if someone wants to leave (eg Coutinho) then they should leave. We’ve all been at jobs where someone who wants to move is talking about the potential move or seems distant. Cut that out and you solve a few problems, even if they’re a sublime footballer like Coutinho.

Bobby has always been my fave, but Sadio seems like such a lovely guy love the constant smile he has on his face, must be a great person to have in the squad overall.

he always seems very humble too, and also sort of shy at times. But yeah, him and Gini with their smiles, lovely  ;D

yeah, the bond is very important for sure in his teams. The new players seem to settle so quickly these days too.

Sadio just looks like he loves football and being able to play football for a living. It was great to see his bro in the away end at Roma.

While Bobby and Mo have been the centre of attention, Sadio has quietly played himself into some wicked form and is now very comfortaby operating wide, deeper to the middle, while remaining devastating on quick counters. I think he will have a great game tonight. Wouldn’t say he’s a secret weapon, but he definitely packs more punch then Real might think.

Same here, think he'll play a vital part. Wouldn't be surprised if he got a couple.

If its true that Madrid will have a plan for Salah, then the game will open up for Mane. Either way, I think he will play a crucial part in the game tonight.

Mané became only the fourth player since the European Cup rebranded (or perhaps since the second group stage was scrapped, not sure) to score in all five knock-out rounds this season.

Messi, Ronaldo and Diego Milito were the others in 2010-11, 2013-14 and 2009-10 respectively. If anyone deserved a winners' medal, it's Sadio  :(

Must be including the group stage.

He scored in 5 separate matches in the knockout stages if that’s what they mean?

Or maybe the 4 knock out rounds plus in the qualifier v Hoffenheim which was also a knock out game. Good company to be in, whatever it means!

well they are wrong. the group stage isnt knockout!

anyway he did good! both on saturday and over the course of the champions league

very mature player too. i am sure there was at least 3 matches where players surrounded him trying to get him to react so he would be sent off

Strangely enough, it didn't surprise me. He talks really quietly when he's interviewed. He is clearly a lively character though, and usually always smiling. But I guess it needs to be remembered that these African kids can travel hundreds of miles just to get a game of football, when they're young.

Sadio seems incredibly shy, if you watch the Liverpool carpool video he's in with Gini and Can you can see it

There was another video of him I saw as well and he seems to like keeping himself to himself

I'd forgotten about that, nice one. Yes, he seems really quiet and awkward in that, revelling in Gini's and Emre's behaviour though. Loved those carpool ones, the one with Sturridge, Alex, Clynny and Joe was quality.
