My mum saw John Barnes in Woolies once and to this day maintains he's a tight arse because he bought his kids some 2 for 1 drinks.

 ;D

He can't be that tight, I was talking to him and his lad in Cricket and he just let his kids get whatever they wanted.

Met quite a few of the lads at Melwood - they were all dead nice and down to earth. The ones that seem really good lads are carra, sami, luis, stevie g, crouch, ste warnock and JAR.

Stevie G was actually quite modest - I saw him score some great goals in training and I mentioned it to him, and he says "nah, I missed a load of sitters today"  ;)

Also seen Didi in Tescos on allerton rd a while back - was gonna go up to him but he seemed a bit preoccupied in the mince section....

  • It's not much I know, but this is the best Barney could come up with at short notice. Too tight to buy his own cross-dressing gear. AKA 'Condomhead'. Has apparently had Elton John.

He has a Parisian barber that he flies in to cut this hair.

He's back on his feet and out an about you'll be pleased to know.

Saw Pennant getting off the train at Birmingham New Street the other week. Day after the Arsenal Fiasco. He clocked on to me, i didnt realise who he was straight away. Only realised it was him after he'd gone past. Was going to chase back and get the old autograph, and photo, but i had too much luggage

« Reply #115 on: January 4, 2007, 03:51:42 pm »
Went home early from work today, feeling like shite, blocked nose, sore throat and a voice like Pat Butcher and I don't even smoke anymore.

Pissed off because I'm skint, been charged 10 three days running for being overdrawn (yeah, cos that helps me get back in the black you twats) because housemates didn't pay me for bills on time and had a row in Barclays about it. Missed my train. Waited another 45 minutes in the cold at fucking Warrington Central. Not had anything to eat. Starving.

Got to Lime Street with a face like thunder and walked out to check the times to Wavertree. Who was standing there?

Only John Barnes! Digger looked like he was waving off his girls, three of them, don't know if they were all his daughters. Loads of fella's standing around pretending they weren't staring at him   ;D

Anyway, walked past casually, checking it was him, because he's certainly eating well these days and I wanted to be sure.

Smiled and gave him a nod as I caught his eye, he said hello and I got off just in time for my train.

I still feel like shite but I've cheered up a bit...fuck all those cold remedies and you can stick your Calpol, bumping into a Liverpool legend is the best way to brighten up your day!  ;D

You're like a one-man Heat magazine. You should have your own 'spotted' column.

"I was waiting at the bus stop and Kenny was getting the number seven ..."

You best sort that throat out before sat'day or you'll be mown down by an RTK rapid response squad

see the lot of 'em regularly in a local restaurant / cafe they seem to frequent as they get no hassle.

well, see a lot of Xabi, Luis, Pako, Bolo, Palleta, Agger....most of 'em have been in at some point - think it's somewhere the club bring 'em when doing orientation with new signings.
