Very difficult? Any win to nil sees them through.

My point exactly ... They don't have the defence to keep a clean sheet in the Champions League ...

Don't talk nonsense. If they can do it against top premiership teams I'm sure they can do it against Young Boys, doesn't matter what competition it is.

Don't be daft ... They are chasing a negative result, in a 2-leg play-off round of a European competition ... It is nothing similar to a regular league game ... By the way, it's been 18 months since they've last managed to keep a clean sheet against a ''Top 4'' team in the PL ...

I didn't mean just the top 4... To say they haven't got the defence to keep a clean sheet in the Champions League is just stupid, their defence is good.

The Spurs defence is by far the worst part of their team ... Defensively, they are nowhere near the level of the top teams in England ... Most of the time, they are disaster waiting to happen ... In fact, tonight's game was just another proof of that ...

You don't half talk tripe.

Redknapp was at fault for the team's first half performance, no one else. To play 4-4-2 in Europe, away from home in a hostile atmosphere, with only one defensive midfielder, is suicide, pure and simple. The minute Huddlestone came in for Assou Ekotto, it was plain to see. Had they started with the team that ended the game tonight, they'd have won, pure and simple.

Had we played with the same formation against that same team tonight, with Cole and Mascherano in the middle, or United with Fletcher and Scholes, you'd have seen a similair result. I can't remember off the top of my head Ferguson, Mourinho or Benitez played with more than one up front away from this club at this level. Obviously the teams I've listed have a better defence overall, but to suggest Spurs' best back four is a 'disaster waiting to happen' is complete and utter bollocks. Your shite stat about them not keeping a clean sheet against the 'Big four' isn't as clear cut as you make it out to be, when one was a penalty (Gerrard), whereas the one against Chelsea was a no more than a consolation goal in the last minute of extra time.

Those two away goals should see them through, although more nervy than they would have liked.

A lesson in european football for 'arry.

Ask Manchester United what away goals scored at home can cost you - they learned it last season... Spurs are highly unlikely to keep a clean sheet at home ....and if they don't Europa League here they come! :-\

I'm sure this has already been mentioned but we bought the wrong Degen!

Youngs Boys were quality.  Great short passing and interplay.  Good footballing side.

Just watched the first half of the Werder Bremen Sampdoria game and after 10 minutes Gary Birtles made me consider smashing the screen in. The knobehead doesn't stop fucking moaning and he clearly knows fuck all about European football , so what do Sky do ? , make him the analyst. He has said nothing of interest whatsoever yet , i doubt he even knows 5 players out there.

Well they had 1 or 2 chances in the first half but weren't pressuring enough. Aaron Hunt is playing the Ozil part. Second half is a lot better. Hunt is not that bad but he used to play on the flanks in the previous seasons...

Dummy celebrations are by far the most twattish of all celebrations.
I trust the King, but if we lose a few more on the trot now - he may have to step aside, and we have to purchase another manager in the middle of the season. If we are relegated, this could be the end of our ambitions to win any title the next 100 years.

Goal in Belgrad.

Partizan 2 - 1 Anderlecht after an own goal. He took it beautifully but in the wrong net. YOu have to see this goal - a bit like Sammy against Everton but this looked like it was more on purpose and not acidentally.
