Going to pay 100m for Gvardiol.

These Saudi clubs are ruining the market though.

I have no words to thank you enough for all these years and I am very proud to say that I was your manager. Thank you so much once more and always remember: You'll never walk alone."

Why are players still signing for these cheating c*nts when they are facing unprecedented charges of cheating? Just shows many modern footballers have no moral compass whatsoever.

We shouldn't raise our hopes too much that these cheating c*nts are going to get properly punished any time soon.

I’m betting they get something like a 50m fine and a one season transfer ban (so zero impact). Pep will scream they have essentially been found innocent (compared to Saudis). And on we go.

Even a 50 billion pound fine would have zero impact on these cheating c*nts.

Probably right.

But fining a club for breaking FFP is ridiculous. No deterrent at all. It’s like punishing a serial killer by telling them to do another killing. They’ll just budget the FFP fines into their overspending.

Penalties should be points deductions, titles withdrawn, etc.

Ultimately they should be using Man City as an example to deter other clubs from doing the same in the future.  A fine doesn't do that, but we know it's coming.

Newcastle and the soon to be Qatari owned Man Utd will be more than happy with a fine to spend their way to sporting success.  You see, it doesn't matter to these oil rich owners how they get there when money is no object, it's the bragging rights when you invite your neighbouring Sheikh over for dinner.

Pep really is brilliant. Throughout his career he's taken the most difficult jobs in football and worked on a shoestring budget to build some amazing talents, the man is a genius.

I doubt they'll even get the transfer ban or if they do it'll be suspended for a couple of years . I think they know fuck all is going to happen as anybody else after just winning the treble would keep their heads down rather than spend £80 million

Manchester City now has a defence worth more than half a billion euros: Josko Gvardiol (90 million) Rúben Dias (71 million), Aymeric Laporte (65 million), João Cancelo (65 million), John Stones (56 million), Kyle Walker (53 million), Nathan Aké (45 million) and Manuel Akanji (18 million)

It’s not all about the money tho.
I mean, what other manager could win trophies after spending over a billion pounds?

Pep is brilliant, though. Elite. But he’s not as good as his current record which comes with cheat codes on. His time at Bayern gives us a better idea of his qualities. Without an oil-rich nation giving him everything he needs, his record would be still elite but much more pedestrian. He would undoubtedly win trophies at other top PL sides, but he wouldn’t have anything like this dominance.

Where he under-achieved. To not get one of the greatest ever Bayern sides to a CL final, let alone win it, was a huge under-achievment.

It was like he looked at Bayern and then bizarrely decided that what they really needed was to be able to rack up bigger points totals in the league rather than converting their dominance there into more CL wins, taking away a lot of the energy and excitement that they had with that Heynckes side as he imposed his usual boring tactics that work when enough money is applied to them.
