Argentina are in trouble again?

But I think Ecuador will lose so there won't be much change.

Brazil have already qualified, they might lose on purpose so they can help in Argentina not qualifying for the World Cup.

Can't see that sort of chaos going up the ladder though mate - now if it were the last game of qualification...

and no Mascherano protecting the back 4 or bossing the midfield either - could be a lot of goals for both sides...

No mate - he wasn't selected for the 23-man squad...

Some depth in forward positions, midfield and defence is fairly average though isn't it

Aye, both sides seem to drop, deny opposition space behind, and defend in numbers when the opposition have the ball - and leave it to the magicians in the side to get them something...

Argentina have really dropped off in quality of players the past few years in defence and midfield - Mascherano is often still their best player at 35 - no way that should be the case.

2nd half should be better and more open - Argentina need a win here...

Just after I read that I flicked over to my live Chile tab and Paraguay scored (obviously a bit behind).

Argentina not in so much trouble then unless Chile turn things round.

Paraguay will be just 2 points of Argentina & Chile if the scores stay the same mate. Could be very close with just 3 (and a half) games to go... :)

Yeah , at this rate could be squeaky bum time for Argentina, Chile and Uruguay (who have to play Paraguay away next).

He's probably busy trying to find out where the entire Chile team are ;)

Hopefully it's just a blip for them - really hope they make it as they usually play decent footy

Is that was Barca signed him...

He has scored 4 goals in the qualifiers but in my opinion he really is nothing special.

(9 in 41 games overall for Brazil)

Spurs let him go to China and Barca bought him to placate their fans in desperation.
