Certainly not an exhibition game I must say. Alot of huff and puff from Huddersfield, alot of last ditch wild clearance and botched counters from Newcastle. I think only the result matters in this game, but you won't miss much by missing it.
I actually loved it, that's the best defensive display I can remember seeing from Newcastle and it was great to see. Nearly everything they did with the ball was in front of us and although they had the majority of the ball they probably made no more forward passes then we did as a lot of what they did either went backwards or to the side.
I think I've gained more satisfaction from Saturday than I have had for years, we've developed another string to our bow. We've scored the most goals in the league and let in the least amount and I'm sure Chelsea are the only team in English football with a better points per game total then we've got. I read somewhere that we've averaged being behind in games for 12 minutes per game and been in front for 45 minutes per game and that's brilliant.
It will be tough for us tomorrow against Reading, I'd fancy us to beat them normally but we've had a tough week and I only hope the players can give that little bit more and bring back 3 points to cap off what would be an amazing 3 away games against some the the divisions best.
Get 3 points and I think we can start counting down to our return to the Premiership, as long as we keep plugging away.
