I still delve into watching Merlin sometimes. It wasnt the best programme ever but it was a nice watch.

Oh, and Morgana.
All the badge kissing in the world don't make up for the fact that they are, frankly, not Liverpool Football Club. It's not their fault. Its just how it is.

Pretty quiet in here - new trailer is out for next season, split into two parts and first part is on Netflix end of this month.

Doesn't give too much away, hopefully it's an improvement on season 2.

I watched it.
It's just hopeless to be honest.
Haven't read the books, but whatever was good in the video game - none of it exists even remotely in this show.
It just feels off, everything about it feels off. Doesn't feel like it's the same universe at all.

I haven't played the games nor read the books so I can't comment on that.

I thought season 1 was good. to be honest, whilst it might get repetitive, him travelling from town to town killing monsters was quite good fun - this overall arching story isn't the most thrilling.

Tonally, its all over the place. There is enough for me to put it on on an evening and watch them, but as others have said not very memorable.

Cavill is excellent in it though.

I’ve only watched 3 episodes of the new series, will continue to do so. It seems a bit all over the place, sub-GOT, with little by way of explanation of the big picture. Everyone wants Ciri, apparently. There also seems to be some editing issues with parts of the plot left , I guess to your imagination, or taken for granted. The bit about them wandering from house to house reminded me of the last Harry Potter book.

Yeah it's a bit of a mess. I can't remember much of the first 2 seasons if I'm honest, but it does seem to be following the books a bit closer this season. So I'm enjoying those more recognizable scenes. Feel like Cavill is doing a lot of the heavy lifting though and the quality will only drop further when he leaves.
Loving Everton's business this summer. Here's an early call - they finish above Liverpool this season.

So that was a complete mess.

They should’ve just done a 6 episode season and finished after that - the last 2 episodes basically nothing happened.

Honestly wouldn’t be surprised if they cancel future seasons once figures for this come out and with the strikes etc.

Netflix does have a quick trigger finger on cancellations, and the above factors you cited might be enough...

Terrible ending to season 3 especially knowing that Cavill won't be back. Let's face it, there is no other Witcher. Without Henry Cavill as Geralt I expect this to implode ratings-wise in the coming seasons before finally being canceled.

They should just chop it now. It has been misaligned and broken from the start. No point continuing really, can only get worse.

Knowing the number of times that Netflix closes shows early I am surprised this hasn't already occurred.

My daughter and I were both underwhelmed. There was one excellent episode, I won’t spoil for you, followed by perhaps the worst one of all the series. Tediously dull. The rest was all: “Ciri has run off again, we have to find/save her”. Cavill’s departure episode was incredibly low key too.

They should have just done a 6 episode series and ended it after the 6th episode (which was very good).

Apparently they also tend to have it written into contracts that pay goes up after the 3rd season, which is why shows so often don't last any longer than that.

I haven't watched the 3rd season yet. I didn't think much of Season 2, currently have no enthusiasm to continue with it.
