Google are starting to annoy me now as there free toolbar add on seems to get installed with everything nowadays if your not alert enough to untick the box.  don't see why they need to do that, surely if there toolbar was that good, people would just download it themselves.

Built in toolbar and browsing history collected by the mother ship "for your convenience", no doubt.

Do you work for Google, or something?

If it ever gets out of beta, then I might give it a whirl. Until then, I'm perfectly happy with Firefox.

No, but do enough Web programming to loath IE and it's cavalier approach to standards. The improved memory management appeals. I predominantly use firefox and opera and both suffer from gradually increasing memory footprints.

To be fair, IE 8 looks a big step forward in terms of adhering to standards, and about time too. The big problem I have with it, is that it's too monolithic, rather than having a more lightweight 'shell' that you can add to easily like Firefox to make it how you want it.

I'm just suspicious of Google as their entire model is built around collecting data and serving you ads and frankly, I don't trust them despite their 'Don't be evil' motto.

Downloaded the Beta and have been having a browse around.  I'm finding it incredibly quick at loading webpages, noticably quicker than Firefox 3 or IE7.

Can you change the setting though so it doesn't open a new tab everytime you click on a link?

I can get it to scroll down the page with my mouse but not back up again - I have to use the arrow keys or page up - don't like that  :butt

Very fast at loading pages.
Dragging tabs between windows to organise them works well

Now I just need to find out how to do mouse gestures and also implement BetterGmail nested folders.
To many people have discovered "Football Manager" and now they all think they are Kenny but alas so many end up as Roy

Is there a 'Home' somewhere on the page a la the Firefox toolbar?

I can only seem to open pages to previously bookmarked links.
